tbh.

Indeed, the ending was good enough, but Halo: Reach is not the ending, it's a prequel just like Halo Wars.

Master Chief is done. The trilogy ended it. The new games are story expansions outside of the Master Chief saga. Halo Wars and this Halo: Reach game are stories told in books of which not all people will read. This is their chance to see it. Granted Halo Wars is not like Contact Harvest, but it portrays the planet Harvest, where it began.

Anyone disappointed with a game set on Reach is crazy anyways. Reach had one of the best battles of all time in the books.

Not everyone feels the way you do. As long as the new games keep up to the same brilliant standard as the previous games, then I don't care how many they decide to make.

GOLD BARS MAKE ME RICH

Do you realize that the minute Bungie makes a non Halo game there will be a million people screaming about "how could bungie abandon Halo"

I don't mind if they broaden their horizons and make other games, just as long as they never lose the gameplay style that makes Halo the great game that it is.

BNet, the only vidya game forum where sigs are pointless.

Ok, this is cool and all but Bungie....SERIOUSLY....WE HAVE ENOUGH HALO!

When I saw this trailer I was like "Oh -blam!-, a new game besides Halo, maybe even Marathon!" nope...still Halo. When is Bungie going to move on? :(

Wait, so you watched a trailer called Halo: Reach and expected it not to be about Halo??

Thus he came alone to Angband's gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to come forth in single combat. And Morgoth came.

I'm disappointed too. I hate when my favorite game developer expands on a great universe and shows off a game that is going to be great without a doubt.

While I don't share the OP's sentiment, I believe he was referring to watching it live at E3/Streaming it

Believe. Bungie.

i agree completly with you. Usually when something interests a person they like to get to its roots and enjoy it more. And first of all twister why are you blamming halo and bungie...you can just leave if you dont like, we dont wanna hear your complaints. Second i think there are too many people who blam bungie for continuing Halo. If u dont wanna hear about go be a PS3 fanboy they dislike halo as much as u do now. go make new friends most of the fanboys here don't want types like you.

I'm disappointed too. Now Bungie is forced to make another multiplayer Halo and segregate the fans even more. We'll have players that like Halo CE, but hate Halo 2 and Halo 3 for certain reasons. Players that like Halo 2, but hate Halo 3. Players that like Halo 3, but hate Reach. And then there is everyone between like me. I love Halo CE, hate Halo 2, and find Halo 3 simply good, but not Halo CE awesome. Who knows how Reach will settle with me. Not to mention all the people who hate Halo and find the franchise overrated; slowly influencing the critics, despite the hypocrisy behind COD's current popularity.

It's gonna be a disaster. At least with a new game they can make a new multiplayer experience. Fix things people didn't like about the Halo games, and people would love the game for being new and different.

You want Bungie to move on, but hope that they remake Marathon?

Does this make any sense?

Why does everyone want a Marathon remake anyway? Bungie didn't remake Pathways after Myth. We got Halo instead.

Are you kidding? When Bungie claimed that Halo 3 was the last game in the series, I was very dissapointed, but as soon as I saw the Reach trailer, I was extremely happy to see that Halo would rise again... I love Halo, and I can't wait to play the new game - if you're tired of Halo, don't buy it.

Yeah but i like the looks of ODST. I'm not too keen on Reach but Bungie hasn't covered everything about the Halo storyline. When they're done with Reach though i would love a Halo: Aescetic.

Why would Bungie ditch an extremely profitable series?

First, thankyou for starting me off there.

Second, that's the exact reason why Bungie is creating another Halo game. Halo is an extremely enjoyable game, with great multiplayer, and my favourite... A gripping storyline.

If this isn't what you want, they why are you arguing about it? We're not forcing you to buy it. Buy whatever you want.

=)

I completely agree. Any extra halo is just more and more depth to the existing universe. I personally think that Bungie have made a great decision not to be pushed into H4 like MS want, but have decided to create something that the hardcore fanbase will love and that the more casual halo fans can still access without feeling overwhelmed OR uninformed - i.e. those in the know will enjoy it more, but its a game so you don't HAVE to be an expert.

I can almost assure you that at least half of you will end up buying the game, maybe even more. I wouldn't be suprised either.

ODST for life

As long as Bungie can find ways to improve from each game to the next I have no problem with them continuing to make games based in the Halo universe. I think everyone is assuming Reach will play similar to the other Halo games but from what we've seen so far its going to be something much different and fresh. Notice the change in the Halo text? Even the characters at the bottom of the page have a different style to them. I really think Reach is going to be a whole new kind of experience for Halo players.

We don't know anything right now. For all we know Reach could be a third person cover shooting MMO. Bungie is not going to make FPS shooters till the end of time and they understand the community can only stay interested with the style of the Halo games for so long. They will move on and like always bring something new and innovative to the gaming world.

All I know is that I am super stoked about Reach no matter what. Find any other game title that is made as well with this good of a storyline and is supported as much as Bungie supports their Halo games. Ill be eagerly waiting patiently...
