No we're not. Not even close to Earth at that time, man.

  • 06.01.2009 11:17 PM PDT

Flood dont come to Earth until Halo 3

And ODST takes place between Halo 2 and 3

  • 06.01.2009 11:18 PM PDT

Oya!!!!!

I know that but i meant maybe there is a level around the time of floodgate

  • 06.01.2009 11:18 PM PDT

I hope you guys havn't forgotten the ODST found asleep on High charity?

You know: The one with the flame thrower?

The reason I say asleep is that upon returning to that area the ODST body found lieing there is comepletly gone. But upon further investigation it's found that dead bodys left there(I team-kill sometimes OK?) are still there.

So basicly that little odst can just wake up and leave.

So it's VERY possible we might see flood in this game.

Edit: BTW this all happens on the level "Cortana" Just as a refrence point.

I'd belive that.

Edit: I belive I read a theory on that a long time ago. Let me see if I can dig it up, if not I'll try and remember what I read and re-say it.

Iam enjoying Halo Reach and revisiting some past Bungie games, iam a big fan of Bungie and their online community.

I very much doubt it.

Alright It's not in my saved threads and we all know that anything used in the search bar is useless.

So here we go:

This is the theory I had for the ending of Halo 3ODST, it all centers around the ODST found on Cortana, didn't anyone think the ODST looked somehow different than the other ODSTs you find? Live or dead?

I noticed that this particular ODST isn't there when you go back thru that area so MAYBE the ending of ODST has you ride along with the MC through the ARK gate. eventually being the first into High Charity while Master Cheif is fighting Truth. Something goes horribly wrong and you find yourself unconcious. upon waking up you try and make your way back to the pelican you came in on. (Note: I know it's supposed that the arbiter came on that pelican but why? If I was the arbiter I would have came on a Phantom and never had to land the vehicle and risk it's capture by the flood.)

Somehow(during a cutscene maybe?) You get caught by a infection form and have to struggle to get back to the pelican and try and find your way back. All the while the gravemind is saying convinceing things to you while trying to take over your mind.(Maybe the voice of your surperiour can also be heard ordering you to ignore the gravemind and hang in there.)

It would make for a sad ending but a memorable one.

Using this method we will see into all the minds of the conflict.

We've seen the UNSC point of veiw.

The Covenant. (First few arbiter levels in Halo 2.)

And now The Graveminds point of veiw.

This is just the theory I remember, I'm not sure if that's exactly how it went but I think it's close.

I hope not. Not that I dislike the Flood, don't get me wrong. But they wouldn't fit the game. Try explaining how the Flood attacked Earth, were stopped with such ease that no one ever talks about it again, only for them to come back in Halo 3's timeline. Wouldn't make sense. They would have to stretch the story in such a ridiculous manner... I hope not.

Arbiter came in on a Banshee. That Pelican you speak of is there before Masterchief gets there.

Flood ACTUALLY made their Debut in Halo, but Bungie didn't list them under enemies in the project page, so, probably not.

GOD I HOPE NOT, but if you think about, imagine if they're put in firefight, that would be intense

Just because an enemy isn't on the product page doesn't mean that it won't be in the game.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

I'd like to see them in a non-canon firefight battle.

they didn't make it to earth til mid halo 3, ODST takes place during one night (day for the flashbacks) weeks before halo 3 starts

  • 06.02.2009 2:13 AM PDT

It'd be awesome to see a flood only mode in firefight though.
