* It's based on 'The Fall of Reach' novel
Not sure that this is fact, but it basically has a 99% chance of it being like this.
Not a fact, not 99%.
It's an assumption...just like when i thought the Star Wars prequels were going to follow the novels but decided to alter and change everything.
Wait, the Star Wars films weren't based off the novels?
The prequels weren't. After the original trilogy there were dozens of books that outlined characters and events that took place before A New Hope. Most noteably was Boba Fett's story. When the new trilogy came out the old books were no longer canon(the movies supercede the books).
Same could apply here. Bungie is not bound to follow the continuity set by the novel(most didn't read it anyways) and whatever story progresses from the game may not line up with the book. Realistically how you write a book versus' a game is entirely different narrative wise so it is likely that some things may be changed with the change in medias(also possibly for gameplay reasons). Hmm.. interesting.
But the fact the game is called Halo: Reach means it has to do something with Reach in the Halo universe right?
Of course. It is obvious that the game will prominetly feature the planet Reach, and apparent that it will revolve around the Battle of Reach. However the details as in how it exactly unfolds, what characters are there and doing what, etc may change.
This game is about the Battle of Reach, it will in someway feature the Spartans, and everything that was said in earlier games will take place(Keyes, Cortana, and MC will be there in some capacity). Everything else is speculation.
