Subject: Easter Eggs in HALO: REACH Trailer

i highly doubt any of that part considering onyx was destroyed.

I wish people would read the book correctly before posting stupid stuff.

If the planet is Reach at the end of Halo 3, then it is Reach long after the the Battle for Reach. It seems that it would be ironic that MC would end up where his training first started. But I do not believe this game is a Sequel. It has to be a prequel.

Do a barrel roll!

If you guys look at :17 in the trailer you see a planet in the the top right corner. Around the the planet appears to be a halo ring. It could be rings like what we have around saturn but it appears to have lights and look metallic and appears to have a large thickness. What do you guys think?

I noticed something about the Sierra 2-59 call out...... it involves 7.

2+5=7 also 9-2=7 and 5+9=14, and 14/2= 7. Good thing we got all that out of the way right there!

I approve this message.

most of the theories in the OP can be explained by reading the book (fall of reach)
Such as "From the begining you know the end" refers to reach being glased and the battle being lost.

IM A LEGIT 16

Guys, give his another planet idea a chance.

The best evidence I can give it is that they said Slipspace rifts were behind the Orbital Defences, which contradicts the books, since the Covenant didn't know how to do that during the Battle of Reach.

They never actually state the enemy are the Covenant, or that the Spartans are Spartan II's.

I'm probably wrong, and the Slipspace thingy was probably a slip up, but it does give some evidence for him.

The name's SXcalibur, but to you, it's Daddy.

"From the beginning" = This could technically mean the game is a prequel to the pre-halo years and judging by the name of the game and the sudden attack of the covenent could be about how Reach fell to covenent hands and was completely glassed. The weapons used on the planet in the trailer seem to have the 'glassing' effect as it spreads around the entire planet. The covenent were able to slipstream right into Reach due to the Iroquois, commandeered by Captain Keyes containing a hidden tracking device takes them straight to Reach

"You know the end" = This could be referring to the actual Halo trilogy. We know the ending of the game, with the master chief floating off into a distant planet, however we don't know how the battle eventually made its way to earth before the Halo years.

No, it's referring to the fact that we know because of the 'Fall of Reach' book

how do you know that? is that an opinion or do you have proof? the sentence could be interpreted in many ways

"May God have mercy on my enemies, because I won't"
-General George S. Patton

"You now the end" has nothing to do with the Halo Trilogy ending, it means that we already know the outcome of Reach.

saying they are coming in behind the defenses means nothing. For all we know, they could be 100 feet are 100 miles behind them. And they didn't say they jumped into the the atmosphere either.

I think that the LE is Chief coming at Reach (The planet in the LE looks glassed) and I think this one will end with the Chief coming across it and joining up with these SPARTANS, setting up Halo: Reach 2.

The slater that has started will cost countless lives.
The slater that has started will create untold story's.
The slater that has started will not end with a bang.
The slater that has started will end with a unheard whimper

Sierra 2-59 call out is Malcolm-059

Malcolm-059 was abducted and conscripted into the SPARTAN-II program by Dr. Catherine Halsey in 2517 when he was just six years old, he was chosen due to his perfect genome. Malcolm was taken to Reach and trained by the educational AI Déjà and Chief Petty Officer Mendez along with the rest of the Spartan children.

He was never mentioned by name until First Strike (Battle of Reach). He was assigned to Red Team, by John-117. When Red Team's Pelican, Bravo 001, was hit by plasma, its pilot, Mitchell, was killed and the ship was rendered unusable. Red team was forced to jump out. Malcolm hit the ground hard, and was killed on impact.

Later, his team leader, Frederic-104, salvaged an unbroken Pressure Seal from Malcolm's MJOLNIR suit. Though he loathed doing this, Frederic-104 decided that "it would dishonor his fallen comrade not to use his gift of the spare part.

Oops. I think I just lost your mind.

Wheather you belive me or not. This is what i think about Sierra 259.
Sierra as you all know or "S" means Spartan. Spartan 059 was Malcom? i think. Sierra 259 could mean: You all know the Spartan Programs. Spartan I , Spartan II and Spartan III maybe the "2" means Spartan II's and 59 refers to their number. Just a theory idk. Dont hate on me for thinking. At about 0:36 in the Reach trailer i believe i hear S-360 or S-320. so idk.
Spartan III's maybe..??? Give it a chance.

How bout that, there goes me caring about what you said right out the window.

I have an odd feeling that Bungie is going to base the game off the glassing of reach and that MC will have a cameo appearance in the game but an appearance in a flashback sequence of some sort and near the end you might see MC coming out of slip space but that's just my fan boy prediction :3
