Subject: Halo ODST for $59:99 = Cheap Price

I don't understand what people are fighting over the price for? It's cheap:
-Halo 3 ODST Campaign, which puts the player in control of different characters in New Mombasa during the events leading up to Halo 3.
-Halo 3 ODST "Firefight" mode, "a new cooperative multiplayer* mode where up to four players can assume the role of an ODST squad and fight together to take on increasingly challenging waves of enemies." Also: "As an ODST squad, you will face increasingly challenging waves of enemies together, striving to earn the highest scores possible, while various "Halo 3" "Skulls" are progressively activated." (It sounds to us like Gears of War 2's Horde mode.)
-Three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps on a standalone disc
-The more than 20 downloadable maps previously released for Halo 3 in the Legendary, Heroic and Mythic map packs.

You guys don't know how much your saving.
-Halo 3 is now $39:99+
-Halo ODST's Campain is worth $20:00+
-Halo ODST's Firefight is worth about $10:00+
-Halo ODST's second Mythic Map Pack is worth $10:00+
-Halo 3's Map Packs are worth $20:00+
-Halo: Reach's beta is worth atlease $5:00+
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
= $105:00 (plus tax)
So if you going with the price that the features are really worth; you would spend more. So what do you want more: Halo ODST for $59:99 or $105:00.

I personally am hoping for a version that costs around $100 that is loaded with extra features and goods.

MS is shooting themselves in the foot.
they are marketing this as a full game when they should be marketing it as an expansion.

Really??? You can't be serious. No matter how you package it it's still way overpriced for an add on.

If it is indeed $60.00 I will personally be waiting until the price comes down. Much of the maps that this is being package with I already own.

Floodians whom I'm in a love square with:

camer guy 65
D A F T (daft_punk)
Sacred Flea

I watch this on loop when I'm bored.

There should be two versions, one with the maps and one without (except for the new batch of mythic maps) because it's ridiculous that we have to pay for content we already have.

wtf? that pricing makes no sense

millions of people already have all 4 map packs....

and think of it like a normal game

halo 3 cost (im english) £40

it included brand new forge, theatre, 11 maps (i cant remember) a 7 hour campaign, an insane custom games feature, a brand new multiplayer, file shares, better graphics

Halo ODST: has 3 new maps, a new gametype, and a new campaign, everything else is just ported from halo 3, exactly the same except what i just mentioned...

i dont see how their worth the same price...

Supreme mastery therefore, is not to be victorious in all your battles; supreme excellence is to be victorious without fighting.

"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. "

I don't understand why either. I have an easy job that will give me the money to get it in one or two weeks. It really isn't that hard.

Hoard your cash and when you have enough, go to gamestop and get it.

I am going for the alledged limited edition, which is said to be priced at $99. So my calculations are based off that figure.

ohai...

Everytime there is a new Halo, I always buy the collectors edition. Because the extra features such as how it was made, the concept art. Everything interests me, after all I'm going to uni to study games design :P

Guy that does stuff

I think most people still have their heads up into the fact that most expansions are about ATLEAST 20-30$, so when they see this game come out, they expect the same price range. I sure hope this game is worth the price

There still new people who haven't gotten the game, that's a cheap price for them. And plus you can play the Map Packs offline now.
