Subject: Halo: Reach - Is the name set in stone?

I mean, Halo 3: Recon was changed soon after the announcement, could the same not happen with Reach? It doesn't exactly roll of the tongue does it? I was telling some friends about it today, and when I told them it was called Halo: Reach, it felt strange pausing due to the colon.

And we can't just call it Reach, unlike the way we just say ODST, because Reach is a pretty ambiguous word and could mean anything.

Perhaps they'll change it? If so, what to?

shhhhhhh

I sincerely hope they do not change it. Sure, to those unfamiliar with the series the name might sound odd; but for those who've read the novels and such, the name is rather familiar and is quite fitting.

I cannot think of what else they'd call it; still have a focus on the subject matter; and have the name be non-cliche. If they call it something like, "The Fall of Reach", then that's stepping into cliche-boundaries. Simply, "Reach" has a nice sound to it.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Good point, but I think that many people will just refer to it as "Reach." That word is no more ambiguous than, say, "Fable," "Myst," or even "Halo."

Frankly, I think that calling the game "Reach" does kinda roll of the tongue, and it has an epic feel to it when I say it out loud :-D
