Subject: From The Beginning, You Know The End.

Maybe they will tell the story like in the movie "Memento".

The story in itself is told backwards. So, in the first few minutes you see the end but you have no idea why it happened. Then, the story slowly unfolds. Great way of telling a story.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I don't think they are going to get creative with extablished story lines. It's easy to tweak things in the timeline for a new story, but Reach is not a new story. If anything I have a feeling that the game will encompass the engagement on Reach during the assault by the Covenant, perhaps with a little more backstory on the Spartans sprinkled in here and there.

Personally I would prefer it to be a story heavy game, spanning all the way through the Spartan II project, but I doubt that would happen. Not all things translate well from literature into games or movies.

As to the OP's idea about the Arbiters presence, I don't think he would be in the game as an ally, if at all. If there is to be an Arbiter it would not be the same Arbiter present in Halo2 and 3. Based solely on the dialouge in the teaser, it is painfully obvious that this game will surround the events towards the end of the Fall of Reach. The real question is what else will it cover.

In regard to the tagline, "From the beginning, you know the end". That could be taken several different ways and is entirely open to personal interpretation. I feel that it simply implys that were gonna take the story "from the beginning", because we already "know the end". But like I said, it's gonna mean different things to different people.

It could be just bungie making a new game so they can harvest more money off us.

If not?

i want a good campaign and a story that is good and worth the wait.

Andrew Howe- Leader Demongangstas

I'm still wondering, why wasn't master cheif redeemed by the beacon in halo 3, obviously you know that cortana set it off. Not only but that, why can't there be a game on finding master cheif, make something New, like "The Great Rescue." Every one agrees that it sucked that master cheif " HAD DIED." Just Why Can't bungie get ideas from millions of people. If you think about, it would help bungie make better games, like i got so many ideas to approve halo 3, please help me, and support the "IDEA BLOG" It would cause arguments but it will help with with unthought situations and other problems. If I could i would want to go up to the bungie team and explain the new ideas, i understand there are limits but a idea blog could be unlimited and keep games going for ever. "No One Wants A Game Over" Plus why can't Master Cheif go home and retire as an old man, and make upgrades on cortana, and try to end the story line without questions. I also need some help with setting up a poll, can anyone help me, please message me.

The only reason I doubt that is that ODST was the last obligated title out of Bungie for MS (as far as reports went), and because of all of the fan request for this story to be told, I feel this is a labor of love for them.

I agree completely about the campaign, I don't any more MP offerings or tweaks, I want the campaign handled first and foremost, with the MP nothing more than an added bonus.
