Don't get me wrong, I agree that it is unknown, but since it's a shooter and there are multiple ground engagements, I just feel it should be noted.

Yeah.

Canada isn't that important that it needs two of the same threads on page one.

Well, Reach was glassed so I highly doubt (and many should agree) that the planet at the end of Halo 3 is Reach.

So you're saying it probably is Reach at the end of Halo 3?

Crap, edit fail. No, I mean its not Reach. When I first posted, I thought I type that it was Reach so I put not in there. Some more things.
Reach also takes place for a little bit after Halo: Combat Evolved as MC and Johnson save some of the Spartans and two other people.
From Halopedia
John eventually locates some of his fellow Spartans on Reach along with Vice Admiral Whitcomb and Dr. Catherine Halsey

This makes it so that MC has to be in the game either shown or mentioned unless the game ends before he arrives.

You can add this to the OP if you want. It's a short and summarized timeline.

Timeline
Battle of Reach: August 30th, 2552
- John, Linda, and James are sent to Station Gamma to retrieve the NAV database from the the docked ONI Prowler, Circumference. James' T-Pack is hit with needler fire and the explosion sends him into space listing him as MIA. Linda is mortally wounded from overcharged plasma fire to the back of the head. John rescues Linda along with Johnson and a few other marines, they then return to the Pillar of Autumn, and jump into slipspace. This leads to the Battle of Installation 04.

- Fred and the remaining Spartans are sent to the ground to defend the power generators for the Orbital MAC guns. Their Pelican is shot down en route and they are forced to jump from the Pelican without a chute, 4 Spartans die, 6 are critically injured. Fred splits the remaining Spartans into four teams; team one defends the power generators, team two attacks the Covenant cruiser and troops destroying it with a nuke (Joshua is killed in the process, team three is ordered to retrieve Admiral Whitcomb, and team four is ordered to secure CASTLE base.

Battle of Installation 04(I), or Halo: Combat Evolved: Sept. 19th -22nd 2552

Return to Reach: Unknown

There is a three week gap between the Battle of Reach and The Battle of Installation 04 (I), but it is unknown how long it took the Ascendant Justice to return to Reach, so a whole month could have gone by.

Also, we WILL be fighting Elites as the Brutes have yet to join the Covenant.
Incorrect, Brutes have been with the Covenant since before Harvest, they were just not the primary force. The Fall of Reach and First Strike make no mention of Brutes, so we probably will not play them for they did not partake in this engagement.

I'd really like to post that, but I'm trying to save space in case there's more questions.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

Umm your wrong on quite a few things mainly being that Fall of reach takes place before the evnts of Halo: CE

Really? Considering that the official page for the game says that it is a prequel, it is pretty plausible that this is the case.

But please, what is your argument?

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

I believe there's an inaccuracy in the OP, mic. It is stated that every copy of ODST will hold a Reach beta invitation via its EXTRAS menu, which means that it doesn't matter if you have a used or new copy, so long as it works and is ready-in-hand beforehand.

I have a question for reach, will it have the same multiplayer as halo 3, or will it be different?

if it is, will we see more maps?

I feel it might be different, why else would there be a Beta for it?

  • 06.03.2009 2:29 PM PDT

Nice, so we will see completely differently maps.
