During the Battle of Reach. Fred is the Squad Leader of the Spartans during the Battle of Reach. John at the time is on the Orbital Space Station.
So, unless the Campaign lets us play multiple people (like Halo 2), I think we'd be playing Fred during this game.
Also, its possible for a split-campaign with one following Fred and Red Team on Reach. And one following Blue Team with John.
If it was like the above, then we may be able to play John as he boards and attempts to hi-jack the Covenant Cruiser (which ends "different"). Although this is before the Fall of Reach, its possible for it to happen. It also may be possible to follow John as he attempts to get an artifact from the city named Cote D'azur. Although this is also before the Fall of Reach. Its possible for it to happen.
If this game is just purely based on the Battle of Reach, then don't expect to see John. If it expands and is losely based around this Battle and includes other events. Then we may see John.
Also, for the Battle of Reach, Red Team was split into four groups. So we may be able to play as each group. Or just one group.
There are so many possibilties.
Also, in the banner for Halo: Reach. It shows 5 spartans. Could it be possible to play 5 player Co-Op?
Also, each Spartan had there own "speciality", Kelly was renowned for her speed. Joshua was renowned for his electronics expertise. I was wondering, would these be toned down in Campaign? Or would each player have to use their expertise to help the squad progress.
