Do not be fooled by my account registration date...

so what if bungie are making the 2 new games, i give them credit for doing that and carring on with the series but your talking about how were going to get halo 17 who cares I DONT SEE ANYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT BUNGIE MAKING MORE AWSOME GAMES!

-_-

Many, many people have wanted to play in the era before The Master Chief, while there were still numerous Spartans around. This is that game.

After nearly 9 years of Halo, I'm still not bored. Ever.

I don't see anything wrong with Bungie continuing to make Halo titles. Because when you think of Nintendo what is the first game that comes to mind....MARIO. And Sega did the same thing for a long time with Sonic. Halo could be the rebirth of the console title. As long as Bungie doesn't go off and make Halo: Go Carts or Halo: Tennis then its fine. Additionally, if Halo contiunes to be an A range game then the average consumer won't complain. The biggest complaint I can remember about the Halo series thus far is the ending to Halo 2. (A badge they should wear with shame lol) My opinion is if Halo starts to get old turn to other titles that 360 has and don't leave it up to Bungie to make another game.

Everyone keeps saying Bungie said they wouldn't be making Halo titles after 2010, or that they said Halo 3 yould be their last Halo game. Can someone please link me Bungie saying this? The only thing I remember Bungie saying about 'Last' and 'Halo' was when they said that Halo 3: ODST would be their last HALO 3 title, not Halo title, HALO 3. If you think they said Halo in general, then please link it.
ALSO, LoftierRelic, Halo Wars was before the time of Mster Chief, but this game is most likely about the Fall of Reach (what the people are saying, what is happening on the planet, and the planet itself. Also, Halo Reach... Falls 2010... Reach Falls, get it?)... anyways, this game is most likely about the Fall of Reach, and that wasn't the time before Master Chief, Master Chief was there, at the falling of Reach. So sorry, this probably isn't about a time before Master Chief.

Technically Halo Reach is only their 4th Halo game, they didnt make Halo Wars, or, Halo Reach is their 5th Halo game, if you count ODST as a game. (It's an expansion, but sortof a game in it's own.)

Please take into concederation the fact that you have not been playing halo since the begining.

Please take into consideration the fact that some of us hardcore fans have been playing from the beginning and know how to spell.

True on so many counts it hurts...

You should be happy a new Halo game is coming out. Fair enough it might look like Bungie are milking the Halo series, but so far every Halo game Bungie has made has been AMAZING. So, why do you think Reach will be any different?

I've been playing this game since 2001 and am far from bored. They have a great formula going with the Halo series so it makes sense to continue it.

And I don't see how you can predict that before we know it there will be a Halo 17; for all we know Reach will be the last.

in my opinion, no, bungie hasnt gone too far, since i picked up Fall of Reach book ive been waiting for bungie to make the game. BUT yes the title and storyline are getting a lil old, and yes the halo 3 was the mythical "final" of the series, but the fans and/or supporters want a new halo, so be it. personally i cant wait to see wat bungie has in store for Reach

I kind of want there to be a Halo game where you can switch between 1st person and 3rd person at any time... That would be cool!

I'm pretty sure I too heard them say that the ODST project was the last thing they were doing for Halo...thought I remembered wrong but if you do too...maybe not?

But, Halo is fun and this is a little bit of a new take on the series so I'm excited and up for it!
If a game is popular, still in the top 10 on LIVE after getting close to 2 years old...that's pretty good and the company that made it is gonna make another game based off that same series, it's just good business and seemingly the first rule of mass media: "Give the people what they want." Many, many people want more Halo, so now they're getting it!

Good, bad, I'm the guy with the clichéd lines.

I would love to see Bungie make a new IP, sure. But the Halo series is one of my favorite. So I will eagerly await this game.

yes, the awesome simplicity of the name HALO in bungies new games is now starting to drag on, i would prefer a new type of game from bungie instead of filling in gaps of halo. halo is great and will be for many years to come but after reach i think it needs to pass on the baton.

  • 06.10.2009 11:39 AM PDT

Not at all. Maybe if the game quality began to get watered down then maybe but their is just too much potential for the title. Keep in mind by saying that they have gone too fat puts this in the same boat as the Sonic games... lol not even close if you ask me

The War is over... The Rain is falling...

Love Bungie...\

SpartanTM

Halo 3 ODST is more of a new campaign than a new game in itself. Halo Reach on the other hand is a new game i think. I really can't wait for both of them to come out! Ever since i saw the ODST in Halo 2 I have wanted to play as them!!!

i've played halo since it came out, and i say that as long as the milking is actually adding depth to the story without creating a sense of overkill, it should continue. expanding the halo universe makes it much more interesting.

WOW. Halo 17 Reach Rise of the Covenant Areosmith sounds fun, but how about: Halo 1,327 Rise of the Covenant The Beatles!!!! Never mind, that was lame; mock me all you want. Man I suck at this...

no bungie has not gone to far with halo:reach. if you think about other games have been going forever, for example, final fantasy and -blam!- of duty.
