to be honest...bungie and microsolt need to get their S@#! together on their games and their issues with xbox live in the first place, before they even think about making any new games.why not just sell a modem that everyone has to have to access xbox live, that way they could keep a better eye on it,cause the system they got aint workin
That's the dumbest suggestion to fix lag issues that I have ever heard. If you knew ANYTHING about how the internet works, you would understand why.

The Halo universe is so interesting. From different points of views, to different battles around the universe and so on. They could keep making Halo games forever and I'd be happy.

If people are going to buy it then they are going to make it.

I don't fully agree that Bungie has gone too far with the series since they arn't using the same story line each and every time but from what i was told from friends about E3 you'll be a completly new spartan which is going to cause some problems since Chief is a big part of the story... it's like taking a game like Mario (Only game i can think of) and replacing mario with a guy named Frank who is a gardener.. people might hate it and not like the game

Then again i've just read some of the threads in the fourm and they are all saying that you'll play as Chief so i have no idea if i'm right or wrong xD

Halo can never get old. It's universe is like star wars where you can tell hundreds of stories and still not be done with it.

Wut?! They can make the internet perfect, they're just too money hungry and dumb and lazy to do anything about it. Networking is super easy, the modem solution is sheer-unadulterated intellectual brilliance!

My third montage!

Bungie is business pure and simple. Yes they will milk their money maker for all it's worth. Remember how freaking many megaman titles their were? Or Mario for that matter? Castlevania? If something works they are going to use it. Would I like a new fresh title from bungie? Of course? Would I like a million dollars randomly bestowed on me? You bet I would.

Reach came out of left field (in my opinion) We knew they were working on other things we just didn't know what. I think it's safe to say there is no telling what else bungie is working on or will be working 2 or 3 years down the road.

Also and as I've not read the entire thread; I believe bungie said that halo 3 was the last story involving Sierra 117.

Writing Lead of Whisper Studios. Check out Heron!

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

Theyre working on one non-Halo project, and its only a small team of bungie people who have been working on ODST and REACH (like with Oni, I dont even think the main bungie team did that)

I really think that 2010 is too early for Halo: Reach to come out, in my opinion. I think it should in 2012, or 2011. (Don't say we'll "die" in 2012, 'cause it won't happen.)

  • 06.15.2009 4:28 PM PDT

You know, I kinda know what you mean. ODST on the heels of Halo 3, and Reach following the year after. It almost feels a bit much. I'm super-excited for anything Bungie does, but I would LOVE it if Bungie announced a new game - something where I would have a chance to have NO CLUE what's going to happen, completely new gameplay (let's be honest, you can only mix it up so much with a FPS), and a new universe to immerse myself in.

If you have any problems whatsoever that you are complaining about, please, stop complaining and get the f**k over it. :)

Bungie is currently working on three projects. One is Halo:Reach, one is Halo:ODST, and one has yet to be revealed.

maybe it will take place on onyx

I'd rather have halo than no halo at all. Halo's been there as long as I've been gaming and I can't imagine gaming without it. Halo games are mixing up the gameplay too, we've had and RTS by Ensemble, ODST's free roam, and who knows what Reach will be like

There are two more legit opportunities for Bungie to make Halo games: the sequel to Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. Beyond that, yes, it gets monotonous. But I want to see where the chief ended up and, I really want to see Bungie's adaptation of the graphic novel.

Halo has an entire universe to be explored, much like star wars. We've had that for thirty years yet it always remains fresh and exciting. Think of the big picture

ODST is going to be a Free-Roam?!

I haven't explored many threads involving ODST game play, so this is very new and exciting news to me. I enjoy Free-Roaming games to no limit. Figuratively speaking.

Heh, yea. I can already see the weird looking Halo animations playing on Cartoon Network, same as Star Wars: Clone Wars. I think that would be a bit far, but I guess it would bring many more fans into the Halo universe, both young and old... maybe not REAL old. Middle-aged at best :P

I agree with the whole Star Wars thing, but i believe that there are the movies( games in halo's case), and there are an untold number of books with the name Star Wars on them. All I'm saying is that maybe instead of more halo ips, maybe there should just be more books. Many of the Star Wars books are written by different authors, which is one reason why they are, for the most part, are all different takes and feel fresh; different people, different ideas. Real die hard halo fans will follow the book series and have flame wars over them, but then the "casual" person will see halo on the title of a book and go "hey i like that game, maybe the book will be good also." We would all love to see halo 4 on our 360's (or 720's more likely), but would it be so bad if halo 4 is a book?

if they leave the game behind then this particular game type or method of playing will be lost. every game has its own gameplay and halo's is very unique

War isn't about who is right, but who is left.

Just hope that this is not the last Halo game. I don't want to think about it. :(
