I was just thinking that the spartans were created to push down the resistance by the insurrectionists. I wonder if this game has that aspect to it leading into where the covenant eventually find reach. Which, I think Master Chief is on a rebel asteroid when the covenant eventually do find reach [please correct me if I'm wrong.] That would be a cool story jumping from planet to planet quelling uprisings. Tell me what you think.

Sanity is a perception. If you think I'm insane, you need your eyes tested.

Master Chief was on the Pillar of Autumn at Reach when Reach was attacked. The asteriod base was the spartans first asignment.

the asteroid mission was years before the battle at Reach.

I know, but I think they went back again when he was with Whitcomb. Again please correct me if I'm wrong it is when they were meeting with Giles about repairing the ship. Also an interesting find, the only spartan I can find without a call sign that we know of is Mike. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Mike

yep. Then i think the Pillar went into slipspace and found the first halo. Then they returned to get the spartans? i think that's right?

But i am pretty sure reach is going to talk about what happens to the spartans on reach. Most likely Fred, linda, grace, etc. But whatever bungie decides it should be awesome.

Ok. Yeah I had not read the Cole Protocol yet so did not know what was going on with that. Thanks for clearing that up.

Your blood will clean the blood for now.

I'll cut the story short, but basically...

The leader of Oni (a female) was informed that 150 children aged of six have been flagged for the SPARTAN II project. Since she only has the funding for 75 children, she goes around as a tourist to each of the 150 children and asks them for a coin flip (50/50 chance).

The 75 chosen children were then basically kidnapped and trained until 14, where they were put into the process where chemicals were delivered into their bodies so they could be ready for the heavy armor and challenges ahead.

So many died / failed to complete this so there were about 35 "Juvenile Spartans" were spawned. As the years went by they were divided into teams Grey Team/Red Team/ Blue Team etc. I think 10 spartans or so left on missions scattered throught the galaxy such as Grey team went to the Outer Colonies near Majical. (Spelling?) Master Chief and I think 3 or 2 other Spartans accompanied him to get the NAV database on Pillar of Autumn.

The remaining 22 or 25 Spartans were left on Reach and that's where this story comes into place. You'll probably play as Fred or someone close to him following Red Team.
