Subject: Halo : Reach Xbox LIve Arcade...??

Ok, so I was browsing the Gamespot E3 coverage and noticed one of the articles about Halo : Reach and decided to check it out to see if there was any new info or anything I had missed picking up. About half way down the page you can see it says "After the trailer, a Bungie representative announced that gamers who purchase Halo: ODST will be able to access the Halo Reach multiplayer beta on Xbox Live Arcade." Linky

Also notice that the text in the title seems different, not the usual bold Halo lettering, but rather a more rounded and almost child friendly game. (I hope this is just me that thought this) However, the trailer seems to remain constant with the previous installments, so maybe it's just changed because it is a different story. (not just Master Chief's story.)

Please, could someone confirm that this is some sort of sick misunderstanding or typo by someone at Gamespot and Halo : Reach isn't going to be an Xbox Live arcade game.

You actually believe the crap Gamespot puts up about unreleased games?

The Halo Reach Multi-Player Beta will be available via the Halo 3:ODST purchase. The full game is assumed to be on a stand-alone disk.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

I would imagine that is just bad writing. People who buy ODST will get access to the beta via xbox live. No where did Joe Staten say anything about XBLA.

No, but like I said, the odd lettering made me worry, I mean, that would be the biggest let down ever if it was an arcade game.

Uh... what? Shut up! Im sorry, but thats all I have to say, Shut the hell up! You know what? That's not all I have to say-

First: Rounded=Kid Friendly? Oh, yah sure, because jaged - softer makes all the difference!

Second: I'm sure all of the kiddies know of the Battle of Reach, what with all of them obviously caring enough to read the novels!

Third: I'm absolutely sure the inevitable fall of a Planet and the killing of thousands will be a perfect time to make a series child friendly! A tragedy- Oh, what fun! The kids will be joyus! If anything, you bumbling Brute Chieftain, this will be the most mature and serious placement in the series (although Halo 3:ODST looks pretty intense), that will be the most representetive of what war in the future (aliens aside) really is.

That is all.

[EDIT]:- You know- looking back at my post, I noticed how harsh even "shut up" looks on a web forum, but you know what.. just don't do that stuff. So uh, I wish I could think of something less harsh than 'shut up', but I can't.

Yes, Halo Reach, developed by Bungie, is a new E rated, kid friendly Halo game for XBL arcade.

Uh-oh, well in the sillhouettes I see guns.. that might even boost it to a (nervous breath) E+10 rating! I hope my Mommy still lets me play it..
