Seeing as how Bungie released "Finish the Fight", "Prepare to drop" and the E3 2007 trailer piece very soon after their respective trailers were shown, I'm hoping that the Reach announcement piece will come out soon.

I love it; the uncomfortable quiet suspense in the beginning, then a beautiful variation on the "monk chant" (as it's known), followed by a drop to the minor scale when the viewer realizes what's happening...

Mr. O'Donnell, I salute you.

Yeah man, I loved it too- hey, you must of loved the Halo 3: ODST trailer music too, I wonder when both of those can come in a Downloadable Format- hopefully in this week's weekly update. I like the music that kicks in when that first explosion goes off- it's so sad for some reason.

Yet again Marty O'Donnell has perfectly captured the mood and sent chills down my spine. I cannot wait to download yet another awesome track from Sir O'Donnell.

Perhaps this thread can serve as a petition of sorts....

Here to end the borrowed time you've all been living on.

I also salute, Marty.

Your best chance is to join The Marty Army (his fansite) and tell him how much you loved the music in the thread that has just this request that exists over there.

Oh, and I absolutely agree. The music was, as always, spectacular.

ODST Romeo

Halo's music always fits the situation it needs to perfectly.

Apparently I haven't been banned in so long that I've been promoted to Legendary... It feels wrong inside.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

The Reach music in the teaser really is amazing. It adds such a dark tone to what should be a very darkly game, imo.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I hope that future soundtracks have as much variety as Halo 2 did. The trailer soundtrack was amazing, Marty is a true genius.

It's called "Plain Chant" not Monk Chant, and I agree. I love the halo soundtracks and look forward to hearing more, different pieces!

I have no signature... exept for this one...

Marty really is a genius. He inspires me to become a composer. I can't thank you enough, Marty.

Agreed. The music is one of the best things Halo has going for it. The Halo 3 soundtrack was totally worth purchasing and I look forward to more.

Continue the good work Mr. O'Donnell and Mr. Salvatori.

Here we are again bro... Just you and me. Same kind of moon same kind of jungle. Real number 10 remember... Whole platoon, 32 men chopped into meat... We walk out just you and me, nobody else. Right on top huh? Not a scratch... Not a f**kin' scratch. You know who ever got you. They'll come back again. And when he does I'm gonna cut your name right into him... I'M GONNA CUT YOUR NAME RIGHT INTO HIM!

I really liked the music from the halo 3 john 117 monument film by big science music. The music was really moving and would be great for Reach as the whole theme of the game will be about the human defeat at Reach.

This type of singing is known as a "Gregorian chant"; due to the belief that Pope Gregory had invented the style.

Do you mean the "Believe" campaign's diorama? That's Chopin's "Raindrop Prelude".

Hopefully, we'll hear some good news in today's update.
