And the end of Reach comes by the hand of the Covenant in 2552. How would Bungie design a game where you are not triumphant? The don't. We had nothing to defend against Reach but our Mac Cannons. When Covenant were sent to the surface, they destroyed 'em and let a fleet come in to glass the planet, killing everything and preventing life from ever happening there again.
In Halo: Reach, you play as Covenant. No game in Halo has ever allowed us to fight humans in single-player, but Halo: Reach will. In Halo: Reach, you will fight a hard fight against Spartans, trying to find out how those super-guns (Mac cannons) worked, and you finally destroy them. You will fight mostly marines and ODST's (who easily get dropped in during combat). At times, Spartans will be present, but as we know, Spartans are not exactly common (there were only 75 Spartan II's on Reach, and 150 candidates for the project).
The game is a squad-based shooter. You lead packs of Unggoy, Kig'yar, Lekgolo, Yan'me, and Jiralhanae as a battle-hardened Sangheili. Unngoy and Kig'yar are dying constantly, as expected, so you are replenished with more by way of Spirit dropships throughout levels (but only at times). They are used for special purposes. You can choose to put Kig'yar's in spots to help snipe and shoot from a distance, and command Grunts to go into buildings and distract the enemy. At times in the game, you will have Yan'me at your disposal, and you can use them to set an ambush or even distract an enemy as you fight alongside. Lekgolo will also be there to aid you by way of Spirits in a few spots in the game, and they will die as they are tough, but don't have regenerating health/shields. Finally, you will have the Jiralhanae. This will be your main squad throughout the game. They will fight with you, and you will have a few at your service. You can choose them to lead, follow the rear, and get in cover or go separate ways to harass the enemy. These will be actual characters along with yourself.
As always, you will have higher commands, these are main characters as well. You won't see many lead humans, but there will be a few main antagonists. You may even be able to choose when to get special Covenant such as Lekgolo or Yan'me to fight alongside you, but the Kig'yar and Unggoy will come in at times randomly between battles. Your squad is a small strike team, and it may even be similar to Ghost Recon (remember that game which was a cross between Ghost Recon and Gears of War and was discussed in a podcast). Cover will be an issue in the game.
The multiplayer will be about classes. From left to right in the main logo, you have a heavy weapon user, what looks like a scout of some sort, a Shotgun wielder, something unknown, and a Sniper. The fact that the guy with a heavy weapon looks like an Elites leads me to believe that it might be Covenant vs UNSC.
Thank you for reading, and I am fully aware that there is absolutely no evidence, and it is extremely likely that I am completely wrong.
