This thread became a joke after mentioning "super halo" or whatever.

I said thede Halo's are like a ridiculously enomouse capitall ship. Never said it was the size of a regular capital ship. The Halo ring is a ship all unto itself.

CoD got boring. Halo got awsome. Crack me a new one.

sup3r hal0?!?!?
Im sorry but sure you got an idea going, but you REALLY need to patch it up... there are so many things wrong with it canonically atm.
Also unless you post a true segment of the book, im just going to doubt youve made it... yeah im that much of a prick.

Well maybe Bungie can stretch it they are the creators and can make a new discovery or maybe the Forerunners did,nt make these massive Halo's.

If you REALLY wanna be a writer like Eric, then you'll have to learn to deal with the dicks on the internet. So I'm gonna be honest and dick-like with you....

Finish the rest of middle school, complete high school, and after you spend a few years in college THEN think about writing books. Your spelling and grammar need alot of work, you shouldn't think some lame fanfiction is going to be good enough to be a game as well.

By the way, super halo? From what you have told us, it sounds extremely lame. What makes you think Bungie would be O.K. with this book being published, if that is it could be?

I'm writing a sequel to your book. It's about giga-halos. They are the size of an entire galaxy and can wipe out the whole universe ending all of existence when they are fired. I'm calling them smite rings... They were created by the longwordmeaningtheycamebefore-ers...

Guys I have posted Chapter 1 on the Bungie Community forum.

Linking would be nice, but here is some advice, picking on just the things you've gotten incorrect BUT NOT THE PLOT.

1. All of Halo takes place in the Milky Way galaxy, Nothing has ever been mentioned as coming from any other galaxy except for the Beastearium which theorizes the Flood came from another galaxy. That's right, not even the chuckleblamming forerunners ever got outside the Milky Way, neither should your Halo creations.

2. There were many, many San Shyuum, before the schism (Sangheili replaced by Jirhalhanea) it is estimated there were almost ten million. Now, it is true that there could only be three high prophets at a time, I do not suggest changing that number. You should make your prophets a lesser member of the more numerous bureaucratic branches within the Covenant.

3. After the war ended on March 3, 2552 there were a large number of systems in Loyalist hands. It may be a good idea to relocate your Super Halo Thingies to an Onyx-like installation, a habitable world which is really an enormous installation created by the forerunners.

I'm not telling you to stop writing, however, do not expect that your creations can be made canon. Eric Nylund is a professional who was hired by Bungie and Microsoft to write a book or two, everything in it conforms to the Halo Bible and anything that had to be created to be in his story was most likely in there first. Become a professional writer with an impeccable knowledge of Halo and you have a chance of writing a Bungie commissioned book.

Speaking of which, you definitely should have known each of the very general facts I have stated above if you are writing a book. I suggest re-reading (Reading?) every book back to back in a very short period of time, two or three times. This could really help you, a lot.

If this new Halo game is based from Eric Nylunds book which is kind of self explanetory seeing as that this new game is called Halo: Reach, then that gives my book a chance of being made a game. That is if I finish it. The title is Halo:Dawn of Destruction and I think it would make a very good game. It takes place 12 years after Halo 3 ended with it's Legendary ending. You will be surprised when you read how much has changed. It is full of action. With partnerships and betrayels I think you guys will like it. First I need to get publishing rights from Microsoft then I can finish it and sell it. Hey you never know, life is full of surprises. Bungie said they were'nt going to make anymore Halo games......well we all know how that turned out. ^_-
Yeah sure.

So the Idea of a follow up is great. I havent read yours but I can tell you that fanfiction cant make it in gen. Most book ideas based on video games, movies, or other books usually come from an idea that the company, lets use bungie, come up with having broad peramiters and then letting the auther that they (bungie) ask to write. Usually these writers have already written and published something of there own. So the best you can do is come up with your own space age universe and get a story published. The reasoning behind not doing fanfiction is there is simply to many law suites for that kind of stuff. They leaglly can't even read it.
