Sarcasm and insultery aside, i'm sorry that prices in australia are higher than most other places, but you out of all people should then see the point i'm trying to make.

dude if your that angrey about the price dont buy it

And if you are that linguistically useless, why come on a forum where skills are required that quite obviously held you back a few years in grade school?

well buy it then you dont need to pay for the maps twice just go to your download history download again if you dont have the money get a job you idiot

get over it your a complaning little kid if you were smart enough you wouldent buy mytih part 1 stight away you would wait

If I knocked on your head, would it sound like a tin can? Just curious.

As anybody reasonably informed could tell you, up to (and including) the Mythic Map Pack 1 is included 'on disc' on ODST.

His ass is just sore because he went out and bought Halo Wars just for the maps and now his special toy is selling for $60 instead of $80.

Oh, yes, that's quite obviously it, oh how I tried to hide it.

Oh hey, sarcasm! I didn't know I could do that!

Grunts your shenanigans is hilarious. I totally agree though some of you guys are completely ignorant to the fact that the campaign wouldn't cost 50$.... Would you pay 50$ for the Halo 3 Campaign? HELL NO... It should be somewhere from 35-50$ instead of a blue-balling 60.

if microsoft dropped the price to say $50 or $45 they would probably make more because everybody would buy it and not just wait to get it used

Honestly? The game is probably worth that price. If people are willing to dish out the money, you can't complain. You can buy used, rent, or even steal a copy if you're too much of a wanker to handle the price.

Dude, you got the maps over 6 months before the other people who get it with ODST, it's like complaining about a price drop: It's immature, and, frankly, stupid.

Which they would do, if they weren't so painfully aware that many a person nowadays are so neurologically challenged that they'll pony up for the higher price.

Myself included.

Still doesn't stop it from being a giant dickslap to the chin though.

Why does it matter shkpa. I bought them because you wouldn't be able to play in any playlist your ignorant wanker. You talk about being stupid, yet what you just said has no relevance to ODST whatsoever. They are doing this because they are banking on this Christmas that many people will get an Xbox and buy Halo.

As for the dickslap grunty, Microsoft loves it. They will keep doing it till your butt hole is looser than a piece of Walmart furniture.

Your logic is flawed, because in your analogy, you already own the content when the price drop occurs, and have nothing pressuring you into paying for said item again, regardless of price drop. Come up with a better analogy.

  • 06.02.2009 9:42 PM PDT

just think of it this way:

if you decided not to buy the maps and waited for ODST to come out then you would have missed out on many months of play time and fun

by buying them when they came out you were really just paying to get them way ahead of the in store release

ODST also seems to operate as more of a sequal in terms of content release (not story line), It is a new campaign with added features, which is basically what a sequal is

if halo 3 came with all the halo 2 maps would you complain about paying for them twice?

you are only angry because you made an emotional response before you thought it through completely, once you do it makes sense

EDIT: yeah, and don't forget you get the halo: reach beta also

Everyone forgetting the beta thats included? 40 for a campaign and firefight, 10 for beta, 10 for maps (just like any other map pack). I really dont think your paying for the maps again.

Yes, ODST does look sick; but what do we have here:

>> A short campaign, rumored (and I use that term objectively) to be shorter than Halo 3's.
>> Firefight mode. Not that hard to implement, and only added to 'be like the others.' (W@W, GoW2, L4D)
>> 3 new maps.

And before you argue about the Beta key; that's not included in the price--H3's was wrapped with Crackdown, and crackdown was a full-fledged game, and didn't experience a price raise. Essentially, the Beta is just an extra gift. I'd be willing to bet money that the price of ODST wouldn't drop if the Beta key wasn't included.

So, we're getting 75% (at most) new material, yet we're paying as if it was a brand new, 100% original content software title.

No, we are going to get it for about $80. We aren't actually paying more, it is just looks that way due to the currencies not being equal. $USD1 = $AUD0.80

OP, i agree with you in principal, but Microsoft is not a charity. In these hard economic times they can't afford to give away products that they can earn money for. At the end of the day it is only $10 (or $12 for us) which is not that big of a deal.

I just find it that MICROSOFT will loosen your butt hole until you either die or come out of the closet. Now I am sick of people -blam!-ing verbally because they are making no sense. The campaign and maps are worth at MOST 50$... What's extra 10 dollars? Well I could buy a huge container of vasaline and some rubbers to prepare for my thorough ass schtwoopin'

Don't the map packs usually go free after 6-9 months? In other words-- The maps would be free by the time the game comes out. ...Which means that your money you spent on the maps when they first came out is wasted anyway.
