GT: Ak Sitka

I have a theory that was brought up through the idea that people believe the planet at the ending of Halo 3 is Reach.

Well, I doubt that Halo: Reach is the continuation of Halo 3 when Master Chief is around the mysterious planet. Halo: Reach is the prequel to Halo 1. So of course it's not the story after Halo 3. But...

What if it is Reach? I don't mean the Reach with people on it and what Halo: Reach is based off of and ultimately gets destroyed in the end. But what if after Halo: Reach, bungie continues to ride the halo banwagon and make another Halo game that's the continuation of Halo 3? It would be Master Chief returning to Reach, years after it's desruction, and continuing the game from there. Maybe something we learn in the upcoming game Halo: Reach will be left behind after it's destruction where Master Chief comes back to.

Just an idea, but maybe it is Reach, but years after it's desruction in Halo: Reach. I wouldn't be suprised if Bungie continued the Halo series, yet again. Maybe some Spartans survived the descruction of Reach, and that's what the continuation of Halo 3 could be based off of.

Just a theory

Edit: I'm talking about a theory that they'll be another halo game besides Halo: Reach. I'm not talking about Halo: Reach.

I received Recon on 7/7/09 for achieving one of the secret metrics. I believe it was for playing in the very first game though.

But for anyone with Recon you should check out the group We Are Reconnaissance. W.A.R. is a haven for people with the Recon permutation.

I think it's a good theory but I'm pretty sure Bungie announced that they would not be continuing the story after Halo 3.

Semper Fidelis!

ALTOIDS RULE

Too many signs point to it being a prequel like "From the beggining, you know the end" or "Halo: Reach. Falls 2010" Just like that made the tagline "Prepare to drop, fall 2009" For ODST, they are reffering to the Fall of Reach in "Reach. Falls 2010"

I talk about it Here

Or maybe they pull a Metal Gear Solid 2 and jump ahead to the end of Halo 3 half way through Halo: Reach

That cant happen because if you read the rest of the novels in halo first strike he goes back to reach and Dose find alive spartans but then the story of what happens to them is in ghosts of onxy

and that all happens befor and during halo 2 events

Maybe we should look at this in a different way... "Halo" games are done as in there can't be more stories invovling Halos after H3 because there is no more need for Halos. The Flood is gone/contained, whichever you prefer, and the Covenant is gone along with there fetish for ring worlds. Now, how can this be called Halo Reach? Simple, the Covenant is still intact within this story and along with their love of the rings. Halos are important even if the main characters (human ones, that is) have no clue of them yet.

Could the planet at the end of H3 be Reach? I honestly have no idea. But this does open up the possibilty for future Master Chief games that have no connection to "Halos" (See what Bungie may be doing here?). I got a feeling that a new MC game will be realased along with the release of the new xbox whenever that may be.

I like the idea that the planet that he goes to can either be Reach after it's desruction, or Onyx. Onyx would be a tough call though, because in The Ghosts of Onyx, they are still fighting the Elites and such so the timeline wouldn't work with Halo 3.

Maybe it would be a game that fights the brutes. Yes, the prophets are dead, but the brutes are relentless and we know that.

Of course, this could open up a wide array of ideas. Pretty much, if Bungie wanted to make another Halo game that continues the storyline, they could.
