I know that you will have alll the normal maps, plus a few more, and you'll be a Spartan, but will you be able to keep your stats from Halo 3? Because i don't want to start all over again, and if i were a general i would not start all over so will you keep your stats?

  • 06.03.2009 5:51 AM PDT

i'm pretty sure your stats will be transferred over.

no saying for sure until we play it though.

same stats no starting over.

On a side note: I wish they could reset the ranks... Damn cheaters

People want to be remembered. The only difference is why. Some want to be remembered for being kind, brave, or daring. I chose to be legendary. I am a myth, a story, a ghost, someone who doesn't exist. You have wronged me, and you shall die. Check the shadows for the end is imminent. Good day!

I think you will, because isn't it Halo 3 multiplayer still?

Doubt it.
Unless you can play with people playing halo 3. Can you?

ACtually from what i've seen on the menu there was no multiplayer options.

It was something like:
Campain mode
Firefight
Teather
Extras

I think you need the regular halo 3 CD to play matchmaking, not sure about that one thought.

Actually it has all been confirmed on the box from Gamestop.

Halo 3: ODST will include 2 Seperate Discs,

The first disc will be the Campaign disc. It will include Campaign, Firefight, Theater (Campaign), Screenshots (Campaign). Everything that it saved from this disc will be under the title "Halo 3: ODST" on the Hard Drive. Everything from Theater (Including Screenshots) can be uploaded to the File Share. Achievements unlocked on this disc will be under the name "Halo 3: ODST"

The second disc will be the Multiplayer disc. It is Halo 3 Minus the Campaign. It will include the options Matchmaking, Custom Games, Forge, Theater (Multiplayer) and Screenshots (Multiplayer). Evenerything that is saved from this disc will be under the title "Halo 3" on the Hard Drive. Everything from Custom Games, Forge, Theater can be uploaded to the File Share. Achievements unlocked on this disc will be under the name "Halo 3"

The second disc will also include all 24 Maps on the Disc meaning that you can wipe the Maps off you're Hard Drive under "Halo 3" Although you don't have to wipe the Map Varients, Game Varients, Films and Screenshots.

Edit 1 - Includes information about the Maps on the Second Disc.

I just watched the 30 min thing on bungie blog. Look at the begining there is no matchmaking options on the main menu....Don't know if it's because it was a demo or something.

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

ODST will be seperated onto two discs. Halo 3 (without campaign and all the DLC maps loaded on the disk) and then ODST (Campaign, Firefight, and Theater 2.0 for ODST's features)

So, since it's just normal old Halo 3 without campaign, your stats will the transfered over.

NO FEAR!!!

Halo 3 ODST comes with a separate disc that is the normal Halo 3 multiplayer. Nothing is changed in it except that they add three maps. Your stats stay the same. The disc is basicaly Halo 3 without the campaign.

  • 06.03.2009 9:50 AM PDT

So you're gonna be Spartan in Matchmaking and ODST in campain am i rite?

  • 06.03.2009 9:51 AM PDT

ODST comes with 2 discs Staten said. The first disc is the Campaign, Firefight, Theater, and Extras (Reach Beta). The second disc is like an extra copy of Halo 3.

I wish it were all on one disc, cause its gonna be a -blam!- switching back and forth between discs to play firefight, then Matchmaking, then ODST Campaign, then Forge, etc. Lol.

If you pop in the Halo 3 disk that comes with ODST, it will be Halo 3's matchmaking, custom games, and theater. It comes with all the maps to date loaded onto it, so you don't have to worry about DLC. With this disk, you'll be playing as a Spartan.

However, with the ODST disk you'll be playing as an ODST. This ODST disk brings Campaign, Firefight, and a new Theater seperate for this game.

Above beat me to it.

Yes on the First disc (Campaign Disc) you are stuck as a ODST on Campaign and Firefight.

On the Second Disc nothing will change. Except Campaign is missing.

The 2 discs information is awesome news, very happy about the way they are doing it, it means I can delete all of the maps that I have bought (every single one, that is) from my hard drive as I have a 20GB hard drive and really do need to free up some space.

It is good news. Although I am going to keep the DLC on my Hard Drive just incase I need to use my Regular Halo 3 Disc again.
