Everyone's a pacifist between wars. It's like being a vegetarian between meals.

The game's supposedly built around a sandbox-type environment, and the player can go wherever they want on the map at any given time. I think this eliminates the possibility of a mission structure.

yeah i know this but i thought that's only one mission ... ok but if it's only a sandbox than the gaming time is really really short

Per Audacia Ad Astra

It's a huge sandbox map (not the actual Mythic map). By that I mean it's similar to Grand Theft Auto or Far Cry 2. A huge open area (one of the biggest maps of Halo 3) with enemies, side missions and all sorts spread around the entire land.

One thing is different... The Superintendant is helping you around...

As far as the campaign length, I read in one of the previews (I think it was G4's) that they're expecting the campaign to run about 3-5 hours.

But again, that's probably if you choose to just speed through the game and forget about exploring the huge map and whatnot.

Nice research.

I'm sure there will be 5-6 flashbacks.

Even if the campaign ends up being a bit short, firefight seems like it's gonna be wicked fun and should keep people interested in the game. The price might be a bit steep, but Microsoft knows that die-hards will buy the game regardless.
