So if I understand this correctly If I am no longer interested in playing the Halo 3 campaign and just want the multiplayer, I can sell my copy of Halo 3 and play the full multiplayer with ODST? TIA

That's the theory, yes. ODST comes with two discs - a Halo 3 multiplayer disc, and an ODST disc.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

From what I have heard, that seems to be the case.

i think this is true !
all maps are included in one CD and the other CD is the game cd (ODST)
i think you needn't Halo 3 any longer

This is what I've gathered from the forums, as well. Though I'm trying to search the web, bungie... google... everything, to see if those last three mythic maps will be available via DLC or not.

Also, a few of us were talking during matchmaking and Halo: Reach is definitely going to be, not a first person shooter, not a third person shooter, but a second person shooter. Bungie is going to revolutionize the way you watch other people play games.

It'll be nice to have a separate disc for multiplayer. If I'm correct, having all the maps on the dvd will increase load times.

Cool, thanks everyone. I think when I get home today I am going to go sell my Halo 3 copy. I can hold out for a few months until ODST releases (there are a ton of other games coming out soon to hold my attention, NCAA 10 FTW!)

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

Well, there's two disks. One for ODST and the other for the complete Halo 3 multiplayer experience.

To clarify, the multiplayer disc won't include the Halo 3 Campaign co-op option, correct?

Yeah, it's confirmed. One is the ODST campaign, and the other is a disk with all 24 maps and a Matchmaking option.

So if I sell halo 3 which I will never sell halo 3 I can still play halo 3 multiplayer on the second disk that comes with halo 3 ODST and it includes the new mythic map pack 2? Sorry I didn't see this story until today.
