Im sure than when the Halo 3 teaser was released, xbox.com posted misleading descriptions of the game at the time. So yes, im not joking. Furthermore, i am closely following E3, and this information would have to be spread amoungst the media, which it hasn't to my knowledge. So why would such information be simply posted upon the website. Surely press would be told by the Bungie time present about the story and genre of such a large reveal.
You're wrong. When H3 teaser was released, there was no inaccurate information released on xbox.com XBOX.COM IS OFFICIAL. Anything you read on there is official, get over it. The description for the game was only updated this afternoon, yesterday there was barely anything. So this is 2 days later after announcement, they are told by the developer and publisher what information to release; and they put it on the game page, just like any release ever on xbox.com. Please stop trying to argue, xbox.com cannot post anything that is unnofical and un-authorized by the developer and publishers. Inaccuracies are also highly unlikely and impossible because Microsoft is the publisher and they run a very, very, tight ship. These are obvious facts that you seem to have a problem fathoming. Please stop trying to argue and misleading this thread beyond its intended nature. This thread was created to inform the community of the latest official information regarding Halo: Reach. This information is official and I''m sure will be mentioned sometime by Bungie in one of their very vague updates. "Thanks" would have been fine.I think it would be quite ignorant to think that just because they are an official website that they won't make a human error. While i completely believe that this will be set on Reach (i thought this was common knowledge), you still have to make room for human error. Everyone makes mistakes. Hopefully they won't just be covering the events at reach, but the events leading up to that. It would be quite a shame to disregard some of the most important and epic moments in the Halo universe.
