The turret/missile pod are heavy weapons that only the spartan could pick up in Halo 3.
Now, the ODST is now able to wield the turret (carry it around) without it affecting its speed or recoil. I know this game is fictional, but there has to be some realism to it.

Opinions?

ODST's are beefy guys. Give 'em some credit.

I want to be able to carry it, so yes, yes they should.

Okay, so with the ammo type factoid about modern Gatling Guns, I say ODSTs should not be able to wield dismounted turrets. By by that, they also shouldn't be able to use Missile Pods, Plasma Cannons, or Flamethrowers. The last of which was featured in the Halo 3 campaign by a Marine.

Still, we don't know to what extent the ODSTs may have been augmented or how heavy the turret actually is. After all, these troopers do look a little more awesome than the Master Chief...

I first said they shouldn't then I understood the reason. So, I say again. However it is, deal with it. They're probably not being removed or it could have been a far earlier version where they already were. You can choose not to pick them up, after all.
