You don't kick a man when they're down, so don't teabag me when I'm dead!

I would like something like forge, but with the following differences:

- More time put into it. Make it less of an afterthought
- Some kind of undo, redo, copy, paste etc. system.
- Maybe an option to 'freeze' objects in place, making the physics of the map ineffective on them during the forging session (that way we won't have to rely on the 'save&quit' glitch)
- I want my cool movable objects from High Ground back in the heavy-editor maps! Maybe more of the movable objects from campaign (under a section of the menu called 'Campaign')
- Right off the bat, I'd like a free Sandbox-style map. No-one touched forge when Halo 3 first came out, and this could be the same here if you limit us again
- One of those Sandbox grids on every map that has large area(s) so we can align our creations well
- An option to turn an object through 90 degrees as well as the manual adjustment
- A 'cheat code' that lets you see the propertiess of the object you're holding in your HUD (e.g. Z/Y/X-axis rotation, height from ground etc.)

What would you like to see?

Even though this is just an assumption/hypothetical thread, there are still haters out there that'll say it won't happen. So in the case of "this will never happen shut up", Why shouldn't Bungie include another map editor if it has added hugely to Halo 3's success? (including in custom games, sucj that Bungie can effortlessly edit maps for MM and such that the community can create maps which can be added into MM). It didn't cost them much extra to develop it, and at the least I'm sure they'll just include the old forge editor.

So, post what you'd like to see!

I think we can guarantee at least something more than forge. Hopefully some enviromental editing. But then again we don't know what multiplayer will be like other than it being a FPS, confirmed by MS.

more control over the game. literally.
I want the PR and carbine to be starting weapons. I'd like to map some parts of a map have a particular gravity than some others. etc.

Maybe H.E.K. instead of forge, or maybe something better.

So, more custom game options?

Too many options can cause lag, but I'd definitely like to see all weapons on all maps and all weapons as starting weapons.

What would you like the 'better version' to do?

This just came to me. Imagine being able to edited the maps climate. For intance say your editing Highground and you get tired of how its just sand and you want to mix it up. There is a climate section that made the whole map frosted over with ie and the water was frozen and there was snow instead of sand. And if you want to make is more green then it made the sand grass and the mountains covered with trees and bushes etc. and the water color changed so that it looked more swampy. IT WOULD BE AWSOME

add a horn that says "!%*@ BILL O' REILLY" in Austin Powers' voice, and
I like how if anyone ever says a nice thing about Bungie people think all they want is Recon, and if someone says something bad about Bungie people join with them. And then after they get done bagging on Bungie, they go play the game that Bungie made

There needs to be a button to delete groups of items. For example, delete all weapons. I hate going around and deleting weapons one at a time.

Wayne Jarvis, Attorney at Law; I have a responsibility to tell you that there is no candy in this office.

I'd like a computer program that you can make maps on, and then import them to Halo 3. You'd still need basic Forge for people without live, but still.
