To the OP:

I was at the "Nordic Games Convention" and there they had a display of a new device for disabled players, I did not check it to much and I have forgoten the name of the company/device but by seaching the internet I found this: http://benheck.com/03-16-2008/new-single-handed-controller#mo re-355

Im not all certain of what degree of movement you are capable off but this could maybe be something for you to look up more.

I hope this helps you somewhat and atleast encourages you to search for more solutions.
I hope you find what you are looking for and that you can have a nice time playing with the rest of us in september 22nd!

Hey thanks I will check it out.

I would name my son Ezio Shepard Mactavish Vakarian Arbiter.

Sorry 'bout your disease. I don't think ODST is gonna be on PC, though.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

If you can move your fingers and thumbs to type all of that, using an Xbox 360 controller won't be hard.

It would help if you gave a hint as to how physically disabled you are.

Spread the word dude, you'll get your PC version.

My friends call me D Bo.

The only way for this to happen, is to get people with the same disease to support him.

I am very sorry for your disease and, in reality, life is unfair, even to the people who aren't physically disabled. :( Sorry to say this, but bungie isn't going to make the game on the PC just for you.

Right well here is a solution.

Find someone who can get a USB keyboard and mouse compatable with an Xbox 360.
Dosent need to change game, and your problem solved?

EDIT Intresting link

Sorry to hear about yourr disability.

I am a physical disabled gamer. Who unfortunately can't play fps's on the 360 anymore do to my progressing disease that makes me have vary low mobility. Causing me not being able to use both the joystick and triggers at the same time. I am hopping if anybody from Bungie reads this, if they would put the word out to get a PC version of ODST gonig sooner than what has been done for Halo 1 and 2. This would make a big time Halo fan extremely grateful and happy.
Halo for Life!

I roflmao'ed when I read this.

That is the one but it's from a modding group and well at least mine doesn't work it is like impossible to aim at any thing. So maybe I should bug Microsoft to make an official keybord and mouse. For games and make it so you can customize the control layout. To what ever you want like in PC games.
it should be a mini size and not full size keybord thou.

You've played/won quite alot of matches for someone who's hardly able to use a controller.

I Can hardly play anymore. My disease is a progressingly worsening one so over time it became hard. Also my friends do come over and I watch them play.

Yea your probably right but I always had that feeling. Although at least halo 3 might eventually because halo 1 and 2 did after a long long time but hey at least they did.

Were it so easy.

Well maybe you can get better from the disease.

  • 06.04.2009 6:21 PM PDT

I'd rather be called weak than die thinking I was strong.

Well hopefully Halo 3 will arrive for the PC in the near future, but ODST won't be for a while.
Good luck to you and may you live a long and happy life... :)

....whut?

Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy is a condition where your muscles, in essence, shrink until they're no longer usable. Playing Xbox for him, as he said, is very tiring because the disease is now progressing into his hands.

As far as not being able to use xbox vs PC, it's pretty simple - a mouse and keyboard is much less intensive than the twitches required to use a controller. With a PC you can use many fingers, not just 4. You can also use your arm strength to help push the buttons.

Thanks. Yea I ignore pity and and never inted to make people pity me.well I am out for now see yea people.

Oh, so that's why you made this thread and said you were physically disabled... Why not just ask if it would be on PC? This is proof that you don't have a disease, but you want people to think that you do.

It is E3 and it ends today so maybe tomorrow they will . I am also hoping that maybe they know of a Keyboard and Mouse for the 360. that works better than the XFPS. Or maybe they can mention that to A Microsoft person. :)

How is a disabled gamer "Hopping" in the first place?

Being Disabled means I can't hope for things? LMAO I guess I'm a bad Disabled person!
Hopping=little jumps. Hoping=hope.

Even more LMAO! I'm Disabled and stupid

lol that was awesome.

For the OP I am pretty sure that there is a mod you can buy from the internet to make a mouse and keyboard work on the xbox.

Intolerance is the highest level of stupidity and inbred thinking.

This sounds like a good cause. I'm sure a Bungie employee will see it soon enough, if we keep it alive. Maybe Bungie will give you a PC version as a gift. doubtful, but...
