...that Halo: Reach means instantly that the game is a prequel and takes place on reach. Yes, this idea does seem logical and I'm not throwing it out altogether, but what I'm trying to say is maybe this is a sequel. Maybe it has something to do with Reach, but doesn't necessarily take place on it. The story can be in the future, on a different setting, and maybe Reach is just a backdrop to the whole game. Maybe there's a secret on Reach that nobody knew about and now it's revealing itself, putting the universe in peril once again. Also, Reach can be a term standing for something. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the planet or something. I've also heard theories of Master Chief traveling back in time after the portal closed in Halo 3. I highly doubt it because messing with time never worked for any story. Those are just my ideas.
