I believe that Sam,Kelly,John,Fred, and Linda are the spartans in the pictures. The only reason people say it can't be true, because Sam is Dead, John wasn't on Reach very long, and Linda hardly had any time on reach at all.

But, who says this game only takes place during the battle of reach? What if we get to play through all of The Fall of Reach, Including the bootcamp the spartans went through, What about going on the missions the spartans had against the Rebels. We might even get to play the events from "First Strike".

Anyone agree?

I agree, it would be cool to play the entire timeline from the book The Fall of Reach. Playing as a spartan prior to getting the Mjolnir armor would be especially cool imo.

Leave Master Chief's childhood to the books. I personally feel that it would ruin the series if you played through the Spartans bootcamp.

Also goodluck getting a game out with a bootcamp so brutal towards 6 year olds.

When I first thought about it I thought it would be cool, but then I thought a bit more and decided I wouldn't like it that much. I mean come on for those of us who read the book that would be just retelling one story from the Halo universe. I'm hoping its a different story all to its own, one telling us something new about the events of this era. Not to say I wouldn't play it if it is the book because it would still be pretty awesome.

no, just pay attention to the trailer. "Sierra-II-59" who is Malcolm wasn't part of blue team. And thats enough proof.

Plus Blue Team wasn't on Reach during the fall of Reach battle.

Forever there shall be war, thus forever we shall fight...

Because the SPARTANs mentioned in the trailer are probably class twos, while Blue team comprised of all class ones. For those of you outside of the know, class two was the second batch of SPARTAN IIs which has only been mentioned once or twice in the book and of which none are known. We know they were conscripted in 2537, and that is it. That unlockable non-canonical chick from DOA was one of them.

The trailer gives us the names of two SPARTANs which I assume are class twos (There is a remote chance they are SPARTAN IIIs.) 259 and 320.

But I am quiet confident that that is not Blue team.

They were Trained there, of course they have stepped foot on reach since that was where most of their time was spent until its destruction.

I don't think you will be fighting rebels due to the fact that Reach is in the middle of being attacked. They wouldn't be spartan III's due to the wrong service #s, never being seen by the public or other spartans, and doing missions in armies of hundreds. These two spartans could be any of the 20+ spartans that were lead my Fred. Though they will infact die by the end of the game but hey, who says you are one of those two spartans? Just because they talked?

There is no such thing as a Spartan II class 2.
