I read through the ODST Field Guide and saw the many variations of the M6 Magnum series.

Variants:

-M6A: standard issue/black polymer finish

-M6B: "Officer's model" - issued with smart-linked scope [KFA-2]/hard chrome finish

-M6C: "up-sized", standard issue/black polymer finish

-M6C/SOCOM: accurized - issued with smart-linked scope [VnSLS/V 6E]/black polymer finish

-M6D: "up-sized", "Officer's model" - issued with smart-linked scope [KFA-2]/hard chrome
finish

-M6E: standard issue/electroless nickel finish

-M6F: "Officer's model" - issued with smart-linked scope [KFA-2]/electroless nickel finish

-M6G: "up-sized", standard issue/electroless nickel finish

-M6H: "up-sized", "Officer's model" - issued with smart-linked scope [KFA-2]/electroless nickel finish

-M6I: select-fire variant; detachable shoulder-stock/black polymer finish

-M6J/C: carbine variant; 355mm barrel, detachable shoulder-stock/electroless nickel finish

-M6K: police "undercover" variant; 6 rnd magazine capacity/black polymer finish


We already got to see the M6D (HaloCE), the M6C (Halo2), the M6G (Halo3) and finally, the M6C/SOCOM as seen in ODST.

Now, there are still 8 variants left for us to discover.

There is no proof whatsoever of one of them making an appearence in Halo:Reach, however, I believe that this COULD be a hint towards the new Sandbox that awaits us with the next installment of the Halo series.

So, MAYBE we will get to use a new Magnum!

Personally, I would like to see M6I variant. Select fire and shoulder stock? Awesome!

Which ones do you prefer and do you think any of them could make an appearence in Halo:Reach?

I can't understand the fascination with pistols in a game where super soldiers have shields. Pistols are so underpowered IRL I have a hard time thinking they should be the primary tool of destruction in this game.

This may be blasphemy to some but I like the rifles a lot more.

I am pumped but please don't bump and wait. I would like it if in Reach we were able to use multiple pistols instead of being limited to one type. We get two Ars, Ar and SMG, why not two or more pistols?

Yea sorry for the bump, but I thought this was more interesting than the other repeat threads.

Anyway, I totally agree with you. The Sandbox would be much more awesome if we had a variety (at least 2) of pistols to choose from.

Imagine dual wielding a rapid fire pistol and a heavier one with more bang. That would feel great while firing.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

As long as its online system doesnt have Halo 1's overpowered pistol, im fine
