Subject: A mistake in the first picture for Halo: Reach...

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

Its a blended picture, you aren't looking at a literal example of a ship glassing from orbit, you instead are seeing it from a ground perspective, with the ground being at the bottom of the planet and seeing the beams shooting down.

Just call me Najar.

i think they are 2 different pictures made into one, and the ships are in the picture with the characters, and not the other one, thats why theyre shooting to the wrong side, and if you notice in the top down side of the planet picture you can see the clouds and the sun of the other one (the one with the 5 characters.

The sun is rising/setting directly behind these characters. Which would mean it's rising inside the planet. Which would mean the characters, ships, sun, and mountain range are there -- upside down -- for artistic effect.

A picture in a picture. Upside down. On purpose.

I wish I was still legendary.

Artistic license. They're showing multiple different perspectives at once, unless either those ships are absolutely enormous or really far away from the planet.

The planet is upside down. The ships are shooting at the surface. Something Halo fans know as "glassing".

I hate you so much...

But not as much as I hate the internet.

By that notion, the figures are standing on what? The space baby from 2001: a space oddessy? I understand what you are saying, but this is not a mistake. This is a promotional poster....

OMG! X-wings live inside darth vader's head!

I think i made my point.

Also, in the picture, you can see that this is'nt just the planet- but its a view from the surface, with mountain range

-Its just stylised! Damn, this is annoying, how does nobody but me notice this stuff!

I see what you mean, especially because at first I thought it was a mountain range, but I see it as just part of Reach's surface, either a continent or a reflection off the water.

I'm pretty sure that guy's right. Those Covenant Cruisers wouldn't be that big anyways, even if they are pointing their beams away from the planet.

There are two pictures...one of the planet and another inset into it which is the one with the mountains, ships, and 5 people
