Subject: Theory: Buck Dies?

Being a leader comes with a reasonable price. You're expected to Lead those around you to victory, bring them home safely, or, as in most cases, a combination of the two. You must be fearless, yet cautious, and must always keep a level head even in the most dangerous of situations. Name's War. Welcome to the team.

Just a theory, and I will say far fetched, but, here me out.

Upon looking at the bios for the Helljumpers, I saw that Buck, the war torn leader of the squad, had the blood type O-

I didnt really think anything of it until I took a look at
this desktop wallpaper.

His somewhat rare bloodtype can be seen on his left shoulder plate.
Then I thought, why would it be displayed?

I did some research and apparently, O- is somewhat of a wonder blood, rare yes, yet, it had a redeeming quality. It could be tranfused into anyone of ANY blood type and stilll function in that body.

Which leads me to believe Buck will be in some sort of bind, a life threatening one in which he might have to sacrifice himself.

Read his bio, hes that oldest at 42, seen some of the greatest battles and lived to tell the tale. He seem the most fit to die.

Think about it, why would they even post their blood types if it wouldn't be pivotal?

Fish<><

This is a somewhat far fetched theory,, but with that being said your logic does make a lot of sense. From what they have shown of Buck so far it does seem like he would be noble enough to sacrifice himself.
And with the posting of the blood type,, soldiers are known to do that just encase they get wounded so the medics will know what type of blood that they need to give them.

That's my blood type XD Does that mean I am going to die? lol

No battle is decided in a single moment, although in every battle there arise moments of crisis, on which the result depends. - Carl von Clausewitz

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." - Sun Tzu, the Art of War

Don't they all die though? I mean you find regalia of theirs at catastrophic locations.

Buck is my favorite, but he will most likely die, yes.

C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Ha, imagine doing an "Operation" style Halo mission.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

It makes sense since O- is the rarest blood type, and in case he was injured, they would need to know what it is, as they require O- for an O- patient.

I seriously doubt that this is any kind of foreshadowing.

Seeing as how they all die...yes...I'm sure Buck will die.

haha, maybe, I mean, 3 years ago who thought you wouldnt be playing as Master Chief in a Halo game?

  • 06.03.2009 5:17 PM PDT

wow never actually noticed that props to you man

  • 06.03.2009 5:18 PM PDT

I thought all blood types could receive O-/+ in general

  • 06.03.2009 5:18 PM PDT

Well...let's be reasonable. They're either all split up, or they're all together and missing the new guy. If they were together, I highly doubt they could survive. Remember, the chance of them surviving this mission is slim to none. Now add on the fact that they didn't land where they were supposed to, there are items of theirs scattered around, and they're one person down. It's most logical to believe that they've died.

The only items that we know of are a detonator, which they wouldn't even need after having used all of theircharges, an un-opened drop pod (which I'm assuming still has someone inside of it, which I'll admit seems to be likely dead), and I'm not sure if that was confirmed or if someone made it up, but the sniper rifle of one of the ODSTs.

Just because their objects are scattered doesn't mean they are dead. It's possible, but we don't have nearly enough information to assume such a thing at this point.

Good point, but if it were so apparent that nearly all the squad would have died, what would be The Rookies purpose? Look for dead allies?

  • 06.03.2009 5:22 PM PDT

ok well dare's death is inevedeble and bucks death is likely

  • 06.03.2009 5:22 PM PDT

actually they all die including the rookie at the end the end spoiled it for all of you so HA!

  • 06.03.2009 5:24 PM PDT

Self-proclaimed genius.
Roam the streets with a sign, "will love for false hope."

It's just like dog tags. I think all ODST's have it listed on their shoulder regardless of it being O-. It's to say "This dude's injured! We need to get him O- blood, stat!" for instance. And I don't think you need to die in order to give blood...

bucks death is likely

Why, because his blood type is displayed on his armor? That's a ridiculous reason for assumption.

well you know that some of them have to die so im just aking a random swing at buck dare and ummm everyone else

  • 06.03.2009 5:26 PM PDT

OmG Y u d0 dat!!?!?!?!????!?!?!??!!?!?!!?!

Yes, we know you're an idiot Wudel, you don't need to express it publicly.

Now, I'm not saying that they died right away, but by the time he wakes up *depending*, they'd probably be dead. One of them *maybe* doesn't have a sniper rifle, they're 2 men down *more like 3*, and the female doesn't even have a weapon *that I know of*. So, faced with those odds, I don't see it possible that they're alive. Again, this is just my opinion, and it's just based off of the facts and guesses that have been made here, but I think it's pretty sound.

true, i totally agree, yet, as far as i know, none of the other ODST in the squad have that anywhere on their armor.

i also dont necessarily think that Buck will die in the fashion that he gives all his blood to his teammates, but, rather is a quality to reveal who he is and what his qualities are.
