Subject: In First Strike, ONI got Flood DNA...

It's like if the Fanta girls and the the cast of Girls gone Wild participated in a remake of Labyrinth that takes place in a crackhouse version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory where the sugar is cocaine, the candy is crystal meth, and the chocolate is LSD*takes a breath*and the goblin king became the gummy bear king.

That's a nice theory but ONI would NEVER bring anything flood related to Earth. If they would experiment with it they would do it in space or on a remote unoccupied planet. Earth is the human's last planet, ONI definately isn't that stupid as we can tell by reading the books. Also I thought that John destroyed the sample to allow Johnson to live?
your wrong ONI is stupid enough to do that

2 Wrongs. There are other planes, as the Covenant skipped Mars and others coming to Earth. Also, John destroyed a Data Crystal on Johnson, not Jenkins' body.

It's already been said that you do not encounter the Flood in ODST. It's in here somewhere...

Here it is:
Posted by: Duardo
Will we be able to fight the Flood
No. The Flood have not arrived on Earth yet.
Duardo is a mod, not an employee. He knows as much as you or I.

Exactly, because they are an military intelligence agency. Everyone knows what an oxymoron that is.

First off ONI would NOT bring the FLood to Earth due to the importance of human survival. Second if they did, for the dumbest reason that they did, then they wouldn't bring it to a highly populated city. THis game is based around the ODSTs and finding out the clues of what's happening to the city or in it. Not every game has to involve the FLood and this one sure as hell won't. I can bet my life on it.

This seems unlikely, why would they research about The Flood in a big city ?
When they know how dangerous The Flood is.
ONI isn't about to win any humanitarian of the year awards. Kidnapping kids, killing them while augmenting them, ruining lives, political assassination, almost dissected Johnson, these are not nice people. Also, they may have been egotistical and thought there was no threat.

I still don´t think that they would risk Earth: the humans home planet, just to research The Flood.
And even the Forerunners had trouble with containing The Flood in their laboratories.

"YOUR DESTRUCTION IS THE WILL OF THE GODS, AND WE ARE THEIR INSTRUMENT."

The building is the Superintendent's data center, and of course, also an O.N.I. Facility. The information they [the Covenant] could gather from it is most likely important, hence the need for protection, or, as the case appears to be, destruction.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Oh my, this has gotten out of control. I'm sorry, but you can make as many opinions about ONI and the government as you want, but that doesn't make them credible. You have no evidence to support your claim. We have no idea if DARE has any ties to ONI. You've gotta crawl before you can build an intergalactic cruise ship; the latter being the degree in which your ideas are so far out of orbit.

Think simple: Bungie's ends are always painfully simple.

1 Flood Corpse. That's it.

Exactly, everyone knows what the game is mainly about and who we are fighting. Also if the flood were to escape the lab, she wouldn't know when she is in orbit and the city is completely evacuated. If she did find out the she wouldn't have 5 odsts go along with her to stop a flood infestation. It's a simple game that shows the ODSTs side of the story nothing super crazy twisted plot involving flood...again.

Common Sense is so rare is should be a super power.

I can only pray that Bungie left the Flood out of this game. I am so sick and tired of the Flood. I was really hoping that in Halo 3, the Forerunners or something else would come kick everyones rear end instead of the damned Flood.

I concur, except for the part about Dare not having any ties to ONI. A Game Informer article said there was a female ONI officer in the game and some of Bungie's viral stuff have reffered to Dare as an ONI spook. Other than that you're right on the money, this thread has been nothing but platitudes.

We should know better, because we are better.

Mabye Dare doesnt want to protect it and thats why the ONI building is blown up;Dare decided the flood virus sample was to dangerus so she changes the coordinatnts to the drop pods so she can blow up ONI base.

Snake can you find the pages associated with this?
Pages? No. But, they had Flood-Jenkins aboard the ship G.A.J. (Gettysburg-Ascended Justice) and killed him, however, they returned with the body to Earth. They got a Flood Corpse, which has Flood Spores. Flood Spores can infect, too.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt Flood-Jenkins point to DeSilvas frag grenade, while on the Conenant ship in 'The Flood' and she fragged the fusion coils of the Covenant ship, killing them all by blowing the ship up, meaning theres no bodies left to take back anywhere?

I don't even recall them blowing up any building. They blew up the bridge so the Covenant couldn't get across as easy. So apparently they were protecting something and it has nothing to do with the flood. Get on the E3 live stream and ask them, email them, gaurentee the answer is no.
