LoL. Bungie needs to go back and do some research.... If the "Rookie" enlisted in 47 and the events at New Mombasa took place in 52.... thats a loooongg time to be a lance corporal.

I know we're talking about space Marines here but everything from E-1 to E-3 is an automatic promotion based on time in grade and time in service. Merit/fitness reports don't come into play until you get ready to become an NCO.

The only explanation I can think of for a 5 year lance would be someone who got busted down in rank.

He could get promoted by doing stuff that are helpful for the army, or even surviving something hard to survive.

I'm to lazy to cross refrence you but i don't think bungie made a mistake.

He probably got demoted a couple of times.

No there are people that look into this stuff way deeper than I do. I just happend to notice this.

Most people (in current rank structure) have E-3 in under 2.5 years.

Recon units won't accept or keep people who have serious disiplinary issues.

Check my masterpiece here.

This isn't 2009 US Military. It's 2500s UEG Marines. Promotion values might have changed in 500 years.

Canada isn't that important that it needs two of the same threads on page one.

Also, Romeo is the same rank as The Rookie and Mickey was the newest to enlist but somehow Mickey outranks them?

/way to long to still be a "rookie" then again i think in a vid or the latest podcast staten said he just joined the ODST so maybe he was in the regular marines and then joined the ODST in 2552-more better answer why he's still a "rookie"

You forget that bungie is (as a collective) God and Allfather of all things. They do not make mistakes. Only events to confuse us weak minded simpletons

  • 06.03.2009 6:37 PM PDT

well since most of his information is classified...him getting demoted for something is possible

Mizzou 2009-2010 Starting Line-up

Point Guard: Zaire Taylor (Senior)
Guard: J.T. Tiller (Senior)
Forward: Kim English (Sophomore)
Forward: Laurence (Junior)
Forward: Keith Ramsey (Senior)

He enlisted in that time, that doesn't mean he was deployed at that time.

You Shall Worship Me As Though I Where Thy God! For I Posses The Blue Flag!
(Red Zealot , Beaver Creeck)

the reason why they call him rookie is This Marine was recently transferred from the 26th MEF, part of a Rapid Offensive Picket that suffered near-annihilation at New Jerusalem, Cygnus. Like most ODSTs, his actions speak louder than words.

he was enlisted before but was recently transferred to odst
