Subject: Bam. Got the Beta Release Date.

A simple life.

Here is the video

At exactly 4:33 he says "...when the Halo: Reach beta becomes available on mar(ch) 'ehem' Xbox Live..."

It's gonna be March 2010. I am so going to be right...

The Beta is being released with Halo 3:ODST, so try a little sooner than 2010.

Sorry, not quite. ODST is coming with an invitation to the beta. When the beta comes out you will be invited.

I will pay you 50 bucks no joke if it is march.

BUT ITS NOT IT FREAKING MARKETPLACE HE STUTTERED ON THE STAGE YOU CAN TELL HE STUTTERED.

What a waste....

Hehe... can't wait for it to come. I thought they'd make Reach as a Halo Wars RTS style game, rather than Fred and Linda n' all the other Spartans.

He definitely was going to say Marketplace because if you listen closely you hear the k sound after the mar.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

He was going to say marketplace. Notice he said "Mark" as in market, not "marc" as in March.

The inv to the beta comes with ODST. I do not belive that bungie nor microsoft would force you to hold onto that inv until March.

The beta opens when ODST is released on its release night.

Why would an add-on that needs to be downloaded in-game when available be released to the public over Marketplace? Plus, After that, they asked for a date, and Brian quickly jumped and said "We can't pin that down right now" faster than anything else in the dialogue. He must have known he almost let it out. March would work if they want to aim for an early Fall release date, or maybe even a late summer (ala BioShock 1) But this isn't a confirmation or anything.

You do realize they hardly even have the game started. The E3 interview with ODST they said that they don't even know when the Beta will officially be out. Due to them just starting the game and then making the trailer.

It wouldn't, and thats why he stopped while he was saying it and corrected himself.

"Bungie controls everything. You have no rights. Play nice."

For the last time its TURRETS not TORRENTS. A TORRENT is either a peer to peer file sharing protocol or a violently fast stream of water. A TURRET is a self-contained weapons platform housing guns and capable of rotation. And TURRENT isn't even a word.

he stuttered. He was about to say on marketplace and instead said xblox live. The beta isn't going to be on the public marketplace, its going to be over xbox live through the ODST disk, which is why he corrected himself.

Had he said mar instead of mark I might believe it more, but he distinctly made a 'K' sound. Last I checked, there was no 'K' in March.

I hope you were joking about the beta coming out before 2010. Bungie already said it isn't going to come out that soon. Plus why would they do that, then nobody would play ODST?

Just like ODST, this has been in development by a core group a few months after Halo 3. This is their-3-year development game. New engine and everything. That's why it's launching 2010. ODST parallels to crackdown in the sense that we get a game, get a beta for a new game later, then we get the game.

Proove that they said it. Because from what the evidence is showing us (bungie.net, videos, etc) the beta will be open when ODST is out.

Where did you read/hear this? You made that up yourself. That statement makes no sense and is completely wrong. Why would they open the beta the night when they release the ODST game? If they did that, nobody would play ODST other than the people that don't care for Reach at all.

Look at the evidence around you!

- Under ODST, it shows you get an invite for the beta of Reach. It doesnt say anywhere on there that you will have to hold onto that inv and keep it safe until 2010 now, does it?

- On the video shown from G4TV, he clearly says 'Mark" as in market, not "Marc" as in March.

- Halo 3's beta came on Crackdown, and we never had to wait. Immediantly when crackdown was released with the invites, the Beta servers were (if I remember rightly) opened up. Probably the same with ODST.

Continue being hardheaded all yall want. It would be dumb for them to give you an inv that you wouldnt be able to use for like half a year. So unless you have actual, real proof that BUNGIE said themselves that it would be after 2010, my opinion remains the same.

(and yes, I know I dont have any hard evidence as well, but so far, from what ive seen, there isnt any evidence of them holding off the beta too. Im sticking with the obvious)

It's marketplace. I don't even know why this is being discussed. He said that the Beta would be available from your ODST disk in the 'Extras' tab. So he said 'When it appears on the mark...' Marketplace would have been incorrect. So he said 'Xbox Live' instead. Since you won't be getting it from the marketplace- but from your ODST disk.

I don't understand how this is a debatable subject..

From odst's page "If you want in(reach beta), hold onto your copy of Halo 3: ODST and stay tuned to Bungie.net and Xbox.com for more details."
