I saying a Elite cause its huge plus it has a humped back slightly.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

Its just a tall, buffed out spartan. It doesnt resemble an elite at all. During the time of the fall of reach, elites were our mortal enemies. I dont think they would put an elite up there.

EDIT: also, the helmet has the 2 pointed out points above the visor if you look closely. (you can see the outline of the points on the top of his head)

You would also have an Hump back when you carry a Machine gun.

Well in the book one of the spartan groups befriended the Elites to help or was that the Cole protocol?

I make very good maps... I guess...

It's not an elite, It's an uber buff tall spartan. His name is sam because as described in Halo:Fall of Reach, Sam Was an uber buff tall dude. Even for a spartan.

Yes thats what I was thinking, Another theory is it could be maybe Mendez in a MJOLNIR Mark 1. Since they were really Bulky and used mostly for heavy lifting.

Look at the legs... Elite legs look alot different and also this has a 99.9% chance of taking place in/around Reach before we were allies with the Elites. They are most likely SPartans but there is a slight possibility they are not. Personally the one in the middle looks like Chief to me. I think it is some guy, Kelly John, Fred, Linda.

My game rules:

1. Camping- okay
2. Power weapons- go right ahead
3. Janitor (aka Scrapping)- also good
4. Spawn Killing- What, I'm supposed to give you a chance to kill me?

I love how everyone is using buff in the context that it means strong, when it really means that your naked.

The only problem I have with that theory is that supposdly Sam died before that. But there are conflicting stories on that. I remember that I was under the impression Sam died a little before Reach or at Reach. Not because his suit got damaged and he had to stay behind. Oh well. I will break out the books once I am done with finals tomorrow. I know on these forums instead of studying.

Buff here in America means Built, Stacked, Ripped, Muscular. Buff has been used as such for a long time.

Unless the game takes place before and after Sam died.

It's likely the game will take place over the course of the entire book Fall of Reach, and Sam was there in the beginning.

They are shadows how the hell can you say his back is slanted like that of an Elite.
1. Has the same leg armor as the other spartans or whatever you believe they are.
2. He has a machine gun.
3. He is standing up straight.
4. The Elites are the main enemy against the spartans just like the rest of the Covenant.

I think it was clear after watching the trailer that we were fighting the Elites again.

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

The guy all the way on the left can not possibly be an elite, we only allied with them towards the end of the events in halo 2, the fall of reach was a while before Halo 1. So why would armed humans stand next to an armed elite, especially when the covenant were the ones responsible for the destruction of reach?

actually, what spartan stands on there tippy toes (not talking about height)
Look how the leg structure is different than a humans. if you look at the legs, The look like a pair of elite legs just at a angle. That could possibly be a elite.
