Yeah. I'm back. Whatcha gonna do about it?
-Is ODST similar to CoD in it's basic principles? Yes.
In both games you need a sense of strategy: i.e. You cannot go run-n-gun with a super-suit on.
In both games, you have large restrictions such as more down-to-earth abilities and physics. No more super-punches.
Are both games enjoyable, I'd say so.
-Is ODST similar to CoD in it's game-play? No.
In ODST you will be fighting enemies with space-age weapons and equipment that can fling you into a wall shattering every bone in your body...
In Cod you are up against humans with similar abilities but may have an advantage in say, weaponry or numbers.
In ODST you have a special HUD for aiming and important features, in CoD there isn't as advanced a HUD.
In conclusion...
There are similarities between the two... will it be too similar? I think not.
As far as "insulting Bungie"... I'm pretty sure the only rivalry between Infinity Ward and Bungie is the numbers crunching as people buy either game. Pretty much, however, if I've seen a Halo game, there along-side it, was a CoD game.
