Discuss about how will the melee system in halo 3 ODST will work.
I don't think a normal human can just bash a huge gorilla thing, there must be like a melee weapon like a combat knife that can help the odsts in the fight!

You will have a melee attack just like all of the Halo games. It just won't do nearly as much damage, similar to the melee attacks of the marines in the original campaign.

Drink up baby, stay up all night.
With the things you could do, you won't but you might.
The potential you'll be, but you'll never see.
The promises you'll only make.

Have you ever been bashed in the face by the butt of a rifle?

... It hurts. >.<

In one of the E3 campaign thing it showed him melee a brute and the brute bashed him and when he melled the brute his shields didnt go away so it is weaker

you can grab the brute by the neck and SNAP IT and eat grunt flesh

Fish<><

I am pretty sure that there will be no combat knifes in this game.

And that is the whole point of the melee being weaker. ODSTs are not as powerful as Spartans therefor,, adding to the grand plan of giving the player the feel that the city of New Mombasa is an extremely dangerous place where you have to be careful what you do. Which is a great alternative to the old run in the middle of the group of Aliens and start going all smack happy on their asses.
