I don't know about you guys, but I was psyched in Halo 3 and now i'm even more excited to see the voices of Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin and Nathan Fillion back for ODST. On the trailers we saw Adam Baldwin plays Dutch, and Alan Tudyk plays Mickey, i'm sure it would be possibly to see Fillion's character I just didn't notice it.

I know with models and voices and stuff Bungie have a fair bit of continuity errors or whatever but if these are the same voices, then they're the same ODSTs (soldiers). I'm not too sure how it all works, but if they're the same voices, and said voices are playing soldiers in Sierra 117 (Alan Tudyk voices the soldier that is first analyzing chief 'his gel layers all locked up'). Do you think this means that during the course of ODST, some of your members get stripped of their rank as an ODST (there are some ODSTs at the start of Halo 3 but mostly soldiers) and you get to fight along side Master Chief for a short moment at the start of that level, before you go off as a different section. That would be epic.
For that to happen you'd also need to fight along side Johnson which again would be epic!

Please discuss

It's already been stated that the Chief doesn't make an appearance in the game.

I didn't realise it was fully said, even so, I'm pretty sure if what i'm speculating did happen in the game they still wouldn't announce it.

Maybe they realised that they were good voice actors and just wanted to get good voice acting into ODST?

Maybe there's nothing to do with ODST's getting stripped of their rank and it would be more difficult finding new voice actors than one's you know and trust etc?

Maybe Bungie weren't thinking about continuity and just wanted to make an awesome game?

Looking into Voice acting as a basis for a plot line is a bit... well lets just say go outside and enjoy the sun.

It was mentioned in an Update on the front page. I can't be bothered looking for it; I'm not that determined to prove the point.

But yes, it would be cool if that happened. But from what we've seen of the trailer, that makes no sense as there were no ODSTs with the Chief until Delta Halo.

Nathan Fillion was also Sergeant Reynolds in Halo 3, but he put on a crazy voice for that. It is also possible to kill him several times, but he keeps coming back, like Johnson in Halo 1.
