Something just struck me. ODSTs are known to be crazy, sons of -blam!-es. Basically because they Drop down to Combat from Orbit. That's stuff of Legend right?

Dare, during the Combat Drop in Halo 3: ODST, dropped in WITH the ODSTs. And she's not even a ODST. She's an ONI officer.

Must be one special type of lady huh? Not the kind I'll want to mess with.

She looks kind of...weird with that Huge Recon helmet, and her small little body. Why isn't she in the picture in the top right corner of this forum?

Cause she's not officially part of the squad. She just took command of it for this mission.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. The helmet should just be a little bit smaller. Not much. Just a little.

Helmets. Are. Not. Small.

Thanks to her over-sized head, she can easily knock people out by headbutting.

goddamnit, her head isn't oversized. Go watch the Demo that shows the starting where it shows her without her helmet.

Self-proclaimed genius.
Roam the streets with a sign, "will love for false hope."

Why does every single thread immediately shift off topic and straight towards Dare's helmet being large? Seriously? Are people here so freaking simple minded?

OH MY GOD!!!! It's a chick with Recon!!!! Get over it. <.<

I honestly thought Dare was on the ground from the transmissions before. She must have shuttled to the ship after it's engagement with the Covenant. There is something very odd about Dare. She doesn't seem to be a typical ONI officer. Perhaps the speculation about her being a Spartan 1 are accurate... Nah, she's just Samus. XD

Quite an entrance, though. I really want to know more about what she wants to do in New Mombasa.

Nah, she seems like a typical ONI spook to me, remember Lieutenant Haverson from First Strike? He wasn't afraid to tag along with the escapades of Chief&Johnson... which was some pretty DAREING stuff. (lolpun), much more daring then going down to the surface in an ODST pod.

I guess you're right. But that came along with the whole "We're screwed!" mentality. He was just doing what he had to.

I guess whatever is at the ONI Alpha Site is important enough to forgo the entire "Capture Covenant Leadership" mission since the fall of Reach. Even more important than the defense of Earth.

Probably just Dare's shoe collection. Tch, ONI Spooks...

Anyone remember the Samus + Master Chief kicking ass video on Youtube? Remember the ending?

A Little something something with Dare and Buck? At the end? ;-)

oioioioioio :333

With buck turning out to be a girl?

I doubt that even that much ODSTs would be capable of getting onto Regrets carrier and actually securing him. ODSTs where tough but... Honor Guard Elites are something else...

I guess you're right. But that came along with the whole "We're screwed!" mentality. He was just doing what he had to.

Harverson with the "We're screwed" mentality? I forgot he was like that, was he like that? O_o

Anyway at least Locklear showed how much of a badass ODSTs can be.

Oh God. It was bad enough with the Chief and Cortana. Johnson and Keyes. Brutus and Brutal. "He was my lover!" O.o

I truly hope Bungie doesn't through out a sex scene or anything cliche, gimmicky, and completely tone destroying.

"Buck."
"Veronica."
"Buck."
"Veronica."
"Edward. Your fly is down."
"Oh. I guess that's why the burning sky is actually chilly."

I'm having way too much fun making fun of this game. XD

Editorial: Haverson was pretty calm but he understood his role. There wasn't much else he could do but kick butt. And Locklear did end up being the one who was scared out of his mind. I think the idea was Dare sent the ODSTs to Regret's Carrier as a diversion. Her ultimate goal was the Alpha Site all along.

The Chief and Cortana thing to me was more of a family love sort of thing.
Johnson and Keyes? I didn't see anything there... but Johnson and Hocus? oioioioi ;3

HURR HURR, I really hate when 'love' stories do this. >_<

Ah. Well if Locklear had more faith in the Master Chief then trying to capture a Covenant flagship, escorted by a multitude of Covenant capital ships, when all you have is a Pelican and a Longsword fighter wouldn't seem so daunting.

ODSTs are crazy, tough and strong, but missions for Spartans are a bit above them, sadly. =(

Black Water Ops

- "Look im MLG"

at first, i thoguht Bungie was playing a trick with the recon.

then i realized, she has no soulder armor on, and the helmet just looks big.
i mean, you can't exactley fit a helmet teh size of your head on your head.
it just doesn't work.

Yeah, but that's because Johnson is smooth with the ladies.
