well halo 2 had a different button layout then halo 3 so I was wondering if any changes in the control scheme will be made in ODST.....

Yes. The X Button activates the Visor. O.o

Probably the same as halo 3. Default, Bumper Jumper, Green Thumb, Worthless...

i woke a bit ago and my son was playing halo 3 he was on forge i saw at the bottom of the screen was a charge for 35 dollars is that real or not did he charge 35 bucks or is that justfor the in game

I'm sure we'll see the Halo 3 button layouts in ODST, since it's just an expansion. Reach is a different story though...

yeah, i'm sure we can see multiple button configurations, however, i don't think they will be any different than the ones on Halo 3, bumper jumper, here i come...?

but i think for ODST, i'll switch back to Default.

We'll probably see very similar button layouts for Halo 3: ODST, but if there's little extra things (such as low light mode) they may have to change some things around.

Considering that ODST is an expansion, I would think it has the same button layout, except for the VISR button, which I think is X. It will most likely also have "Bumper Jumper", "Greenthumb", etc.
