Subject: Is it really an expansion now?

I know Halo 3: ODST was originally supposed to be an expansion, but the price has reached $60, and it has a Limited Edition for $100, and my question is,

"Is it really an expansion now?"

Look at the game itself, it has it's own campaign, and has it's own firefight mode, four player co-op (in both modes), and new weapons.

to me, ODST is starting to develope a life of it's own.

what do you, the community, have to say about this?

It also has all of the Halo 3 maps on it, and Halo 3's multiplayer system, so it is basically Halo 3, with a new story.

i have no doubt this will be an excellent edition to the Halo Series, but i don't think it qualifies as an expansion anymore, or maybe it still qualifies...but just barely.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

It expands upon an event from Halo 2. I'd call that an expansion.

It seems more like a full game now, just with halo 3's multiplayer.

agreed, but i'm judging more by content of the disk, and saying that again, content wise, it just doesn't seem like that of a steriotypical expansion.
