About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

Ok, online matchmaking and custom games work because there aren't any AI to worry about. In campaign in halo 3 how ever, the controls lag badly. I can only hope bungie fixes this problem now that they have time to work on it.

Also, they will need to tweak the amount of enemies in co-op depending on the amount playing in some area's. It kind of takes away from the experiance when four ODST's are against 2 grunts.

I know what you mean by the terribly bad lag you experience when playing Co-Op on Halo 3, I to hope they have fixed it.

Campaign never seems to lag for me, although I do sometimes have synchro issues with the host.

I forgot about the lag, bye bye firefight, I will miss you greatly :'(

Nah just joking, I'm sure Bungie fixed this.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

I don't see how they could possibly improve connectivity issues. Don't play online co-op with people from another continent, and preferably also not from another coast. I've never had huge issues with Campaign lag online.

Good players work together...and no matter how good you are, you're not physic. - blade6321

If you really think about it, campaign maps are massive. You'll probably experience a bit less lag. And hopefully they won't force the framerate to lag. I'd rather unload in an enemy and have my bullets not register than to sit there watching each frame move by at snail speeds.

93% of statistics are lies. Formerly Xfire Grunt. Unfortunately, you can't change the WLID for your BNET account, so I had to create an alternate account. My other WLID was spam city (and it was my e-mail account too).

Have you ever played Cortana with people from across the country? It is lag-tacular. It only works OK when the people live in the same city as you, and even then Cortana lags pretty bad. Sometimes it is more like the Xbox is lagging vs. the internet.

Campign only lags if one person in the party has an awful connection. The game repeatedly stops to keep everyone in sync, so when one person has a bad connection it needs to wait for much longer before the message gets through. Halo 3: ODST uses the same engine as Halo 3 so I doubt there will be any major improvements (re-doing the netcode is a huge job). I agree that it would suck if FireFight lagged like the Halo 3 campaign sometimes did, but as long as you play with people in the same country then it should be fine.

I play with 3 other friend's all within about a miles distance of were I live, and everyone other than the host experiences it. I wouldn't really explain it as lag, more as a delay if you know what i mean.

E.g. I Shoot,1 second later the bullet comes out, it registers fine, but just takes time to register that I have performed this function.

From the opposite coast, no, but I've played with players a decent distance from me (4-5 states), and while I noticed a slight delay, it didn't hamper my gameplay experience at all.

That's why I said people should probably try not to play with others who are on opposing coasts.

Steam: RageRunner32 | StarCraft II: RageRunner | Lets play Pc sometime :)

I didn't know there were things to improve upon.......

Sure there are connectivity issues, but Halo handles lag and server issues quite well. Most of the problems are on your part, either play with people on your continent continent or pay up a little more for higher internet speed.

Connection issues are out of bungie's control.
