... and anything you've earned in Halo 3 really wont mean anything any more.

wait....it meant something before?

+50 points. . .

That is the way of all games, they come and go. Some stay with you, some come back, but online stats don't mean a damn thing.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I'm really getting tired of Halo 3 MM. I mean I love it and all (i still play it sometimes) but it's no where near as fun as it was when I first started playing.

Then again i hope Reach doesn't turn out to be a copy of Halo 3 MM with a few tweaks.

Yes. Halo 3 Multiplayer is becoming tedious and repetitive.

Halo 2's still going!

When the beta is out, there will be a significant drop in Halo 3 online play. After the beta is over, it will come back up. When Reach comes out, it will probably totally drop off, just as Halo 2's did when Halo 3 came out.

Not really now that you say so. Every FPS seems to have some form of multiplayer now. It's starting to become really generic. I can't tell you the number of deathmatch scenarios I've played over the years, or the gametypes I've played over the years from different games. Then we have COD's play style as the most dominant seeing how it's the most newbie friendly, and it's still competitive, fun and fast paced, despite feeling like the most polished version of generic game play with military guns I've used in other games playing near the same. So soon enough everyone is going to copy Infinity Ward's style of play.

That's probably why people don't like Halo 3. It's very balanced, but due to that balance it's slow paced, and slow paced shooters like the traditional Rainbow Six, and Ghost Recon have been eliminated. Not to mention it's slower than Halo CE and Halo 2. Which isn't good for older fans.

I'm really in the mood for a good long campaign with developers using resources for campaigns instead of multiplayer.

Halo will never be generic. Halo is the trend setter and that's why every other game includes multiplayer because that is what the market calls for in a FPS. Every Halo FPS has to have multiplayer (except ODST for obvious reasons). Halo MP is why most people even like the game. How many people come home from work or school and think "yessss halo campaign for the 4,000th time, YES!" or "hell yeah! I'm gonna bust some fools online and it's going to be different experience every time!"

Halo's a hell of a drug.

Bungie won't canobolize Halo 3. Halo Reach will probably have more maps for Halo 3, but the online gaming will probably be way different, so that Bungie has a win win situation.

I think that the halo 3 MM population will decrease a decent amount but it wont go away just like how halo 2 is still online.

When I grow up, I want to be just like goofenhour.

I personally think that Halo Reach will be an improved version of Halo 3.

Think about it. Halo 2 being the first online game had a ton of glitches. A LOT of glitches. Like the superbounce, button glitches (BXR, RRX, RRBXR), Guardian glitch, it can keep going.

But in Halo 3 all that was fixed (except the ball glitch, but its not that big of a problem).

Also, game play was fixed in general. Bungie did a great job of making Matchmaking way more balanced then it ever was in Halo 2. No more spawning with a duel weldable weapons, no more 0 spread BR's, no more spawning issues, and no more auto aim.

Now Bungie is going to take all the problems from Halo 3 and fix them for Halo: Reach. Plus we will probably get to see cool new features that the community has really wanted. Like DLC armor that everyone on BNet has been asking for since Halo 3 has come out (that is if they have changeable armor), more advanced forge, better customization in custom gametypes, more gametypes (gametypes as in VIP and Territories), and it can keep going.

But keep in mind, this is probably going to be a completely different game engine. So the game will feel/run differently.

It's got to be a great game. Don't worry, no one is going to care about Halo 3 when Halo: Reach comes out.

Just Chill, everything is going to be okay. Just don't rush.

Agreed, but I need to look it up more in order to make a more accurate assumption.
