A lot of people are talking about the picture with the Spartans and the storyline. Let's say the story is based off of the Fall of Reach novel. Am I the only one worried about how the Keyes portion of the story will be told? I mean...I hope it's not a Sid Meir's: Pirates in space kind of deal. And if Keyes' story won't be told what are some theories as to how it's going to play out with such a big part of the novel. The novel had a lot of rich story other than John and his team. This is what worries me about this game the most. I'm sure that playing as the Spartan team will be fine and dandy but the Keyes portion worries the hell out of me. Discuss.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

As it is with most things of this nature, i'm sure the game will not try and cover the entirety of the novel, that would be a foolishly ambitious goal. More than likely it will focus on key engagements to bolster the history of the Spartns, or it will focus on the engagement that occured on Reach. I'm sure Keyes will have a prescence of some sort, but his history was not really fleshed out until Contact Harvest anyway, so they would not have to push his story too hard.

I think Bungie will do fine, at least they know how to handle their own canon.

Forever there shall be war, thus forever we shall fight...

Right, and Bungie never puts too much backstory into their games. When Miranda briefed John before the battle of Crow's Nest I was amazed, it was the most detail ever included about a previous plot in Halo, ever.

Recent K/D ratio 2:1

Recent games is either 1st or 2nd place mostly.

Indeed that novel was an amazing read. I hope he is atleast mentioned in the game a couple times.
