nahhh, not anymore expensive than like Rockband/GH World Tour (under $300)

trust me, it won't be marketable at all if it was more than that, and if they were gonna be elitist about it (in a recession no less...) then they wouldn't have revealed it at E3 so early in their production.

If you could use Natal in a FPS, it would make the game unfair for some.

For example...

What if Chuck Norris bought Halo 3 and Natal?

Enough said....

It looks like a must buy but if i were to take an estimate I'd say $150-$200, Maybe even higher if Microsoft decides to launch updates for it every now and then. I am curious to see what games will be compatible with natal.

Kool Aid Man

Natal as of now is a fail. Did you see the when he showed us the bottom of the shoe! lol The avatar went nuts. They need to work on it a bit more to perfect it.

But anyways to the real point. If the beta comes with ODST and Natal isn't out they are not going to change up the controls. Natal is more for simple arcade games and simple motions. First Person shooters are way to complex for Natal to handle. Its good, but its not that good.

Project Natal would, in my opinion, enhance the gameplay of the Halo games. It would give you more manuverability and more control over the game and if you guys don't like to have more control that's your problem.

I'd like to give some examples to you:
1) Have you ever sat there playing a racing game and you sway your body from side to side while you make turns hoping it'll make a difference, well with Project Natal it would make a difference.
2) Being Halo specific, when playing the game now you can't dodge bullets easily, you can't really manuver how you want to, with Project Natal it would allox you to duck for cover and to do funky tricks while doing turns or jumps.
3) With the Project Natal system you could be able to go more expansively with your gameplay allowing you to do stuff that you normally wouldn't be able to do in original games. Like in Halo you could possibly walk up to some sort of enemy kick them in the stomach, do evasive rolls to manuver around their attacks, or possibly do some sort of Kung Fu trick to snap there head and make it come off.

Use your imagination people because from what you've been saying it sounds like you don't have one. Think of all the new possibilities that Project Natal could bring, it could make the game neverending and allways expanding, allowing exploration outside of the actual games plot allowing you to go to new areas etc. Think about what good it could bring before you write about what it could make bad or worse and compare them and you'll see the pros exceed the cons.

Think before you speak. (write in this case)

"I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they chose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas." - Jack Handy

I am shocked and disappointed at how many of my fellow gamers have missed what Project Natal can do.

Natal allows you to control without a controller, but it can ALSO be used along side a traditional controller. MS decided not to showcase this at E3 because it would be confusing when you are touting "no controller" controller, then show them with a controller in hand. They did this to not confuse the mainstream press. They figured regular gamers would realize that a controller could be used along side Natal.

So taking that into consideration I wouldn't be surprised to see something that supports Natal, but it isn't going to use it as sole way to play.

To give you an example think of a racing game. Natal could track my head while steering with a regular controller.

That is just one tiny example of how natal could be utilized along with a traditional controller. I really am shocked at how many gamers have not realized this.

It would be a long time before Natal was operable for shooter games. If you notice Natal was just for pretty basic games, not complex ones.

You have a good point. If you watched the Natal video there was nothing really advanced that they were showing all of them were basic programming games like Mario Kart.

You know I've been in college dormrooms before (assuming that is what your talking about) and they are pretty big, plus Natal only requires about the same amount of space the Wii is recommended to have.

really i dont think it would be fun. but people who call them self MLG w/ a controller would be set back in NATAL and a new set of 'good' players will possibly emerge

To jump you just jump, for switching weapons and grenades you would use Natal's voice command feature. For throwing grenades you could just swing your arm as if throwing a grenade.

It'd be easier because you'd be able to throw a grenade with one hand, shoot with the other, and tell the system with voice command to change grenades.
