i just dont want anything impossible for me. take for instance the "save this film" achievement, personally, ill never get that one cuz im not a god at halo. i know achievements are suppost to be like little rewards for completing a hard task, but i dont know.... just something thats managable for the whole community?
I personally liked this achievment, as it really tested your ability to play. Achievments arent supposed to be easy. They add a new challenge.
ya that is what i thought when i got it. i was like HECK YES! my friends are never going to get this one!!! but then the person i was poisitive wasn't going to get it boosted it. and i was like awwwwwwww.
And this is why achievements are better left for campaign and fights against scripted ai...
Achievements that involve the variability on the skill of other players helps or hurts the chances too much for different people...
Compare me, a brigadier, trying to go up against generals and get the "save this film" achievement to someone that easily could have gotten it while going up against colonels. These awards are one of the reasons there are boosters, which means the achievements that are meant as rewards are encouraging the ruination of the online playing experience itself.
And just because achievements are for campaign, doesn't mean they have to necessarily be easy. If only bungie would realize that and make harder ai/ levels. A great example of a game that solved such problems would be modern warfare, you don't see many boosters and you can see that because of achievements "like Mile High Club", not many have the full 1000 gamerscore for that game.
