Anytime that you play over the internet there is always lag, no matter how good the connection is. I find it extremely frustrating that my shots don't count when someone's connection is worse than mine and I think that is unfair to the people that spend good money on fast internet connections. What I'm proposing that Reach's multiplayer should include is a per-screen offensive detection. What I mean by this is that everything you do offensively(ie shooting, grenading) is based on the information currently on your counsel, not when the host receives the data from your counsel and checks it to see if it connected someone. Using this would probably lead to more getting killed when you've just moved behind a wall, but I think I would prefer that over knowing I'm shooting someone but it's not registering.

I think I prefer it how it is. Unless you live out in the desert and all you have is a satellite connection it's rarely laggy enough to matter. For me anyways.

Hacker galore, anyone?

I think you need to learn more about networking configurations. In this idea, not only can it be used by hackers, but what about the person that is killed? Does he just randomly die because it was like that on your Xbox? Then what if it's the other way around? This clearly wasn't thought out well.

Here's an interesting patent that you might want to take a look at.
