Achievement unlocked: You have no life - 0G - play for 10 years straight

Achievement Unlocked: Hilarous - Crack a well thought of joke that probably no one will laugh at, and was really not relevant to anything.

You play xbox, Your on bungie. 2 first signs of not having a life, so shut your -blam!- mouth -blam!-
And I see someone here request for a way to further prove he does not have a life, that's kind of sad. But I'll leave that alone...

A little noise notification should not be something that keeps you playing a game, PC gamers do not need it, nor do people who enjoyed the PS2 and Xbox. Even Call of Duty 4 had no multiplayer achievements and is still played because it's enjoyable. Multiplayer achievements seem to actually shorten a game for some, they seem to cap off the game and mean move on if the game is not that great. If a game is good and you enjoy it, play it as much as you can, don't worry about achievements.

Uh huh... Look at the words you used and thing about what you said, And people play for different reasons, I Like achievements, they prove i have done certain things other people havnt, And if you dont like them, Why should you mind if they make them harder.

Member of team Master Theory.

17th Mythic Conqueror of Halo 3.
5th Mythic Conqueror of ODST.
If you would like to know more about Mythic difficulty please go to this thread. Thank you.

Please do not send me "recruitment messages" as I'm not interested in joining any groups currently.

Doesn't anyone remember games before these Achievements were introduced? People played a game because they enjoyed it then, not because they felt they had to prove anything.

That said I am hoping that the Vidmaster are incredibly challenging, otherwise Recon will be everywhere and a lot of people will complain that it lost its value. Hard Vidmasters would be good just to keep the complaints down.

I get games to play them. I'm not an achievement whore, i get an achievement, i look at it then forget about it. i use achievements to compete against my friends.

What should i expect, have the people here struggle to get all of halo 3's achievements, ofcoarse they dont want harder achievements. *Sigh*

Hypocyrite
You cheated to get two and you say they struggle?

But I agree with you to a certian degree, I would like some harder achievments ( I have all possible bar the perfection one) but overall its not that big a deal.

I agree with you on one point and that is to make a time consuming achievement. Otherwise achievement shouldn't cause anyone to act as if it was a big deal.

Vegi mite all it sounds like is that you angry getting acheviements in 7 days thats not the developers fault its just how the game is made. Acheviements arnt the only thing in a game its just to add a bit more to it, if you didnt like getting the acheviements you should of just chilled in matchmaking or played a bit of campain.

I got ALL of halo 3's achievements, 7 days after release.

I see what you did there.

Personally, I think the perfection and extermination achievements are quite difficult, I'm still waiting for a nubcake team to play against me :(

You guys suck. People can play games and access forums and still have lives. Stop trying to insult people and make a valid point for onece.

Anyway, so as not to be a filthy hypocrite...

I think that achievements aren't important at all. I don't mind getting them, but its not like i play for them, they are a added bonus - i completed all the Halos on legendary, i found all the skulls, i found the easter eggs. And i played each campaign a lot - sometimes solo, a lot more co-op. Why? Because its damned good fun. Not because i expect a reward.

Having a great time and some laughs is the reward (thats a bit soppy, sorry)

Im gonna miss Halo 2 soooo damn much :'(
countless nights, with hazardous amounts of hours logged onto live, and the best memories ive probably ever had in my gaming career. The end of something great unfortunately has to take place today, April 15th, 2010.;;

September 25,2007

I 100 percent agree with you. Ever since the Achievement system came out for the 360 its been such heroine for gamers. Achievements not only prolong the longevity of the game but it makes gamers play the game in different ways than they would probably first approach it.. If i knew there was this really difficult achievement to get it would not only up m GS but it would be sorta like bragging rights. Halo 3 is my favorite game, but when you can unlock achievements for dropping tanks on people and 125G for beating it on legendary, i think it dims some enjoyment. I think the best and most challenging achievement in Halo 3 was the new Vid Master achievement when you had the beat the game with ghosts and skulls on. Now that was not only fun but challenging.

Seriously which lowlife will get the gears of war 2 seriously 2.0 achievement, ( cough cough many people think glitched it, thats what i heard ) no we dont want low life achievements in Halo ODST, Halo 3 just right very fun and anyone can get them, some with even luck, like the splatter spree, we dont want achievements separateing the noobs from the skilled players , just give the noobs a chance. so everyones happy.

Vegie Mite, I agree 100% with you on this one. Your correlation between time spent playing a game and difficulty earning achievements is something that is well looked into. Although you may have flown through earning all 49 original achievements within the first seven days of release there are those like I who are yet to earn them all.

Steppin' Razor is something I knew I probably wouldn't get when I first glanced at the list of achievements. Even to this day its absence is felt on my trophy wall, but none-the-less I still enjoy the game for what it is.

Without a doubt, developers like Bungie would set a span of achievements that must fall prey to even the most noob as doable. Thus answering why most achievements can be unlocked without difficulty. As far as originality, where else can you earn custom armor for being wailed on by a traffic cone? 0G but 100% exclusive.

Thank you man. I was thinking of arguing that I have a life to. Seeing as they think that people who play video games and get on the forums don't. Anyway I have to agree that achievements aren't important at all. Most all of your post actually.
