I personally don't find the achievements so important. :\

But meh.
If I were a producer, I would hope the players for the sake of the game, not the achievement.

I see achievements as Proof, Skill, And... other crap.

You can easily lie on PS3 games saying, I beat uncharted of super hard, or something, but on 360, If theres an achievement for it, People will know your lieing if you do not have it, And there fun to go for,

Actually, the PS3 has implemented an achievement system called trophies. The achievements for multiplatform games are the exact same. I find the achievements in Xbox 360 to be more rewarding. Especially if Microsoft is going to be offering Avatar clothes based off of achievements in different games, which has been rumored and talked about.

The achievement system is much more organsied than trophies, A number of points is better than, gold, silver, gold, bronze, gold.

So really your issue is that your friends can get the achievements too and you have no sense of superiority over them?

Don't bump, OP. And don't argue and get PO'd at people disagreeing or making fun of you all the time.

Because you've done all of the above, your argument is void.

Achievements do nothing but get you armor right now, but soon, they will get you exclusive clothes for your avatar. And also there will be a store wich will have clothing related to games, like ODST armor. But i think there will be some hard achievements. There will probably be another iron skull legendary achievements. Probably

Achievement unlocked: You have no life - 0G - play for 10 years straight

Achievement Unlocked: Hilarous - Crack a well thought of joke that probably no one will laugh at, and was really not relevant to anything.

You play xbox, Your on bungie. 2 first signs of not having a life, so shut your -blam!- mouth -blam!-

You shut your -blam!- mouth. You play xbox and here you are on B.net, and you made the thread. Honestly common sense...

keep ODSt the same as halo 3 just have a longer campaign and add some achevments from halo 2 just to mix it up

veggie mite has no life and he had to cheat for 2 and still is complaning

  • 07.02.2009 12:27 PM PDT

Who really cares about them that much and yeah anyone could get all of the Achievments if they cheated. So well done you. If you buy a game just for the achievments then why care how easy they are to get?

Chief: Are you whereing the Katana body piece.

Arbiter: No, I like my guy with out it.

Chief: But its so cool. It shows I am better then them because I got all 1000 gamer points.

Arbiter: Like anyone over 8 years old gives a -blam!-.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

I don't know about all you need is a good connection, and achievements are definitely NOT what keeps me playing the game. So I must say, I'm already happy.

  • 07.02.2009 12:38 PM PDT

i just play the game for fun.

Proof and skill?
Then why did you cheat to get two achievements? Wouldn't that defeat your purpose of achievements?

Because they were really stressing me out, i kept getting like, a double kill with the sword.

Yer so, you want something skillful
you need to be skilled to get those achievements

I love the seriously 2.0 achievement on gears but it takes no skill to get it just hours of killing.

You get achievements when you're good enough for them, dont cheat them

I Love Lamp. And Ender's Game. Don't tell Lamp.

i think u hate your friend

Bringing you lame jokes, social awkwardness and the occasional good idea since 2008

I like Halo's achievement style, everybody can get them, even the casual gamer. You don't have to devote days and days to getting one achievement.

  • 07.02.2009 2:27 PM PDT

Screw recon, I want my 42 steak dinners.

Retard, He was insulting me, are you an idiot, ofcoarse i'm gonna have a comeback hes a jerk

He wasn't being a jerk, you're just trying to pick fights because you have nothing to do while you wait for your balls to drop. stop complaining about achievements, you're probably the only one who really cares about them that much. Besides, if you got the original achievements in 7 days, what do you think they can throw at you other than his "no Life" achievement?

god do you people have such a misconstrued idea about what emo is.

Oh please enlighten us. We all want to know how misunderstood you are.

I love achievements (check my gamerscore if you want proof)

I too got all of the achievements, soon after I had connected to live (got the game at launch, didn't get live until March the next year). Although I seem to have achieved mine by more legitamate ways than you have. i.e. Not boosting.

I can understand you on some points about the Katana as I also have friends who have gained it through the newer achievements. But you see, I got over that and I no longer wear the Katana. What I don't understand is the questioning of their legitamacy of getting the Katana (which I'm sure was very legit) when you have boosted for certain achievements.

Also, even though I gained the achievements fairly quickly, I kept on playing. You know why? Because this game has the best multiplayer on the whole console.

I don't care what the achievements are in ODST, but I sure as hell know I'm gonna earn them!

I got ALL of halo 3's achievements, 7 days after release. So what if i asked for help with the Steppin Razor and Two for one Achievement,

By "asking for help" you mean boosting. Cheater

Achievement unlocked: I'm being a vulgar - (-77G) - I just <3 to flame in the forums

Fix'd.

There were two achievements that I really need help on when I first started playing: Two for One (damn near impossible through regular means to get) and Mongoose Mowdown, Because in the early days of Halo 3 MM, everyone worked together to get achievements in Lone Wolves. All of my other achievements were gained legitimately.
