Don't Flame Me for saying that mistakes were made in Halo 3, because they were.
Now I see Reach as an opportunity for Bungie to correct it's mistakes and to fix them.
I am going to list a few and let the ever-so friendly b-neters take it from there.
-I'd like to see some DLC Armor, Bungie couldn't add it in to Halo 3 but it would be nice to have in Reach.
- The ability to select a Carbine and Beam Rifle (and a few other weapons that you guys forgot)
In H3 you can't select them but hey, just another opportunity.
- Dedicated Servers, for less lag and stuff.
- A better Ranking System, Trueskill just fails compared to the Halo 2 Ranking system, and you can look at the Optimatch Forum for proof, because people won't shut up about how the system fails.
-No custom content limit. I hate the fact in Halo 3 one cannot have over 100 Items (Inc. DLC Maps), we have Hardrives for a reason.
I don't know what else to write but hey, whatever I am not mad at Bungie, in fact Halo 3 is my favorite game ever. I love the fact Bungie is so open on Criticism and listens to the naggy -blam!-es on the forums.
1- That could be done.
2- Bungie explained why this couldn't be done in Halo 3.
3- Could be done.
4- Microsoft controls the ranking system on their games.
5- No limit means your game will crash.
what was the reason for 2?
I will try to explain it the best I can. Each map has a bunch of assets such as all the armours, maps objects, weapons and so on which have to be loaded into the RAM, since the 360 only has 512MB of RAM not every map can include every single weapon. Even if a weapon is taken off a map with forge, it still is part of the maps assets so it cant just be replaced. Thats why Bungie is unable to include every weapon. For anyone who is going to say Halo 2 did it, Halo 2 didnt have as many assets as Halo 3. I think you can find a much more detailed explanation in either the optimatch or halo 3 forum. Oh and the dedicated servers are too expensive.
