Oh yeah It's Rayzed.

Just a thought. But the BR wasn't used for wide-spread military action yet. Is it possible that this iconic weapon will have to be replaced with a similar type of weapon?

I love the entire Halo series, Halo 2 being my favorite of the games. I think that the universe is compelling and the story is deep, sweeping, and powerful. The hidden layers in the Halo trilogy and rich details of the backstory in the novels are something I love to be lost in, and im greatly looking forward to the story that Halo: Reach will weave. Bungie has carefully and lovingly crafted a mythic tale that will stay etched in my mind until the end.

not sure. i know on th cover of the halo novel "Contact Harvest", whish takes place 20 years before Halo: Reach, the young Johnson has a BR. So who knows.

I doubt they would get rid of the BR, too many people would be upset

The problem is that the Battle Rifle was not in Halo Combat Evolved. In Contact Harvest, Johnson used an experimental BR (along with one of his trainees) given to him by an ONI spook. The gun was supposedly only for ONI members. But to take in account that ONI Castle Base is on Reach, I guess BRs would be plausible.

Wasn't Reach kinda like the headquarters for all the major military operations? Ii haven't read the books, so I don't know. If it is, putting the BR into the game doesn' seem that far fetched.

Hey, we got a crap load of aliens coming at us from medium to long range distance! Let's use this rifle prototype we've been developing! (The medium to long range thing was a joke, but I think you can get the point!)
